Little miss secret was feeling abit down today and just needed some love and attention so when our yard manager Natasha went to see her she made sure to pin her down with snuggles which were very welcome🩷🩷

I imagine that like us your 4 legged beastie is the one that brings you happiness, so today give them a big kiss and lots of loves as we will be giving the gang 🥰

Happy Valentine’s Day to all the dedicated horse owners! Although they don’t always show it your horses really do love you 💋 😘 🐴

To all the amazing horse ladies out there 😍. (Sorry men-folk, but you do get a mention later!)

💖 The toughest women you’ll ever meet spend their days on a yard.
💚 There’s gym strong and then there’s yard strong. They’re mutually exclusive.
💜 You know hundreds of uses for baler twine - you can fix a hole in a haynet, do up your horse’s rug, mend a broken fence, and use it as a belt or a hair bunchie.
💛 Your ability to adapt is remarkable.
💖Sometimes sleep is a luxury. So are lunch and dinner. And brushing your hair.
💚Trust me, you’ll find muscles that you never knew existed on the human skeleton.
💜 If you’ve never felt your obliques contract, then you’ve never tried stopping an overly full wheelbarrow from tipping over sideways.
💛 You will, at least once, face-plant into the muck heap.
💙 You’ll become weirdly obsessive about the weather.

Happy new year!!
Lots of exciting new things to come at homestead this year, as some people have probably guessed YES! we will be starting shows up again! A schedule will be posted in the upcoming future! Our first showing show is set for Sunday 23rd June so pop it in your diaries!
We will also be starting a track syste this year for our summer turn out! Horse track systems are a way of keeping horses so they can maintain weight and avoid laminitis events. Horse track environments provide an essential species-appropriate lifestyle through a variety of different ways.
And much more to come!

Today unfortunately our old boy Henry went over the rainbow bridge! 🌈 he has been such a pleasure to care for and love, always bright and happy to see you on the yard. He was such a cheeky chap with big lips and he will be sadly missed! Our thoughts go out to Julie Monks you gave Henry so much love and gave him a great life while he owned by you! 💛🧡❤️🩷🩵💙💜

Parker has under gone some veterinary treatment and is now on the road to recovery!
He has started long reining to begin trot work and was a extremely good boy for his session today 🩵

Packages offered at homestead

At homestead we pride ourselves in giving 5 star care to every animal! Our motto is treat every horse as we would our own 💚

Here are the packages we have to offer

Full livery:

To include hay, 2x dust-free shavings weekly, rug changes, feet picked out religiously, and turn in/out all year round.

Use of our 20x40 floodlit arena and 6 acre jumping field in the summer months. Brilliant hacking in the surrounding areas.

To also include storage of any trailer or horsebox (limited spaces). All horseboxes must be taxed, tested and insured. All vehicles are left at owner's discretion and homestead livery will accept no responsibility for damage or theft.

Part livery:

To included as above but bedding is 1x uni bed weekly and full care is provided Monday- Friday only. Weekend care can be arranged- this must be arranged prior with the yard team.

Optional service that we can offer at an additional fee include:

Any veterinary nursing required, such as wound care, bandaging etc (not to include goods)

Schooling, hacking or lunging

Standing with dentist/farrier/vet/physio

Grooming and clipping

After completing her first week here let’s introduce our new yard manager!

Natasha has many years experience in the equine industry from owning her own horses since age 10 to working in riding schools, breaking and training yards and even an equine vets!

We can’t wait to see the exciting ideas she brings to the yard throughout the years 😃
