St John’s Hospice are holding their Woofs & Wellies walk!

Coast & Country Canines are donating a dog groom to the prizes on the day.

Taking place on Sunday 3rd September, this event includes a stroll through the beautiful grounds of Low Sizergh Barn with a doggie photoshoot, a goodie bag for your pooch, a fancy dress competition, doggy bandanas for sale, and not forgetting the chance for your dog to be name the most attractive of all!

Bex is 13 and struggles to stand for very long. So most of his groom was done with him laying down. Doesn’t make for the neatest of grooms but he was comfortable.

Another complete time waster this evening who had me drive all the way out to her house to collect her dog only to cancel me when I arrived because she thought I groomed from a van (which I’ve never done) and couldn’t possibly let her dog go with someone she didn’t know. Despite following my page for four years!
As a result of this I will now be taking deposits from all new customers from now on. £70 I’ve lost this week. £70 of wasted appointments plus fuel and time spent driving.

Having had a customer just cancel when I was five minutes away from collecting their dog at the agreed time isn’t acceptable and i am going to have to enforce a 24 hour cancellation fee. Being too tired after a day at work meant this lady cancelled her dogs groom meaning I don’t get paid. She will have been paid for her work. I have wasted time and fuel driving out to her house and cannot fill the wasted appointment.
