This week we got the report from the cardiologist.
While we were aware of Sarah's congenital hole in the heart, it appears she also has pulmonary hypertension.
Her fosterer has reported she tires very quickly and this is a sign of the hypertension.
We have come up with a plan alongside our wonderful vets at Coquet Vets.
She will start a medication and be monitored very closely by her fosterer. In a few months time, she will be re scanned.
Her long-term prognosis isn't what we had hoped. However, while she is happy and is leading a pain-free life, we will do what we can for her.
Initially, we had hoped she could be rehomed with her siblings, but after discussions with her foster carer, it's been agreed she will remain there on a permanent foster basis.
We can't thank Emily enough for taking Sarah under her wing β€οΈ

WORDS TO DESCRIBE EVERY SMALL RESCUE RIGHT NOW!!!
This little mite was intake number 13 in the last 48 hours π
Big thanks to Hancock Stoves and Flues and Hancock Stoves Cat for looking out for this little one.
She is safe and has a placement lined up with another kitten who needs a buddy! More on this in the coming days!
Just some tips for introducing cats (advice can be different for kittens).

Now 10 weeks old, this cheeky pair have thrived in foster and their confidence is growing daily.
Initially found in a warehouse and a little wary along with their 2 siblings who have already bagged their own home.
They interact with the 2 resident cats and would slide into a family with existing cats or as they are.
They could live with respectful children. They have not met dogs.
They are microchipped and have been treated to prevent fleas and worms and will be subject to a neutering contract when old enough. If our partnered vet is used, the adoption fee covers this.
If you could open up your home to this wonderful pair, please fill in the application below.

π» Gracie π»
Not a lot is known about this lovely lady's background. She turned up in a garden several months ago, thankfully she found a home that provided her with food and shelter. We found a chip π₯³!!! We were told she was rehomed 7 years ago, but no details could be provided π« no one has come forward to claim her.
She came into our care and we had her checked over by the vet. She is in fabulous health, other than a couple of cracked teeth which are being sorted very soon. Once they are extracted, She will then be looking for her forever home.
What we do know:
β€οΈ Gracie is 9 years old
β€οΈ Gracie is neutered, microchipped and has been treated to prevent fleas and worms
β€οΈ Gracie was fine with the other visiting male cat, pending careful introductions she could possibly be rehomed with another cat.
β€οΈ Gracie cannot be rehomed with younger children, sensible teens and older.
β€οΈ Gracie will need time and patience, she can do this mean look, but as you can see in the video she so desperately wants to be loved.
β€οΈ Gracie has previously had access to outdoors, thus far she has been fine indoors and could potentially adapt to an indoor home.
β€οΈ She will be nervous at the start, we don't know what she has overcome but she needs reassurance she can trust you.
Gracie is the sweetest cat and will make a wonderful companion. She deserves to be settled in a loving home.

All the cats we rescue go into foster homes, this means we are limited as to how many cats we can help.
We are desperately searching for more foster homes so we can help more cats in need, as with all rescues, we have a waiting list π
We provide everything needed and we support you throughout.
