💙 EDDIE & MARGOT ❤️

6 weeks ago, we took 2 very tiny kittens (205g and 309g) under our wing. It took a week of combing to get rid of all the fleas.
We've had a roller coaster time with Margot as she needed 2 courses of antibiotics, a hospital stay in the emergency vets, and a concern over an enlarged liver. Then, both of them lost most of their hair.

We were contacted by the gentleman who found them as he and his family were keen to adopt them, should they make it. We explained it was early days and they were very vulnerable. We stayed in touch throughout with updates on their progress. Last week, we completed their home visit.
On Monday, they had a final vet check, which showed Margot's liver was now a normal size, although she does have a heart murmur that we will monitor.

On Wednesday, our two babies will move to their new home with the people who rescued them.
Their new names will be Atticus and Luna ❤️

Last week, this gorgeous lady gave birth to 5 adorable little munchkins.
Mama is eating well to feed these hungry horaces.

We need help! On the 5th November, we bought 576 pouches of kitten food and yep, all the little ones we have in at the moment are ploughing their way through them!

❤️ Blacky and Ariel 💙

Ariel - Big friendly boy nearly 6 years old, he comes out for food and small strokes. He likes to spend his time looking out of the window.

Blacky - female, smaller of the two, small white patch on chest. She is around 2.5yrs old. She can do a bit over grooming when she is stressed. She comes out for food and explores the room now, but she is still nervous of human interaction.

We would like these to be rehomed together as Ariel helps Blacky come out of her shell. They will need a calm and quiet home that will give them the patience and love to flourish.

Tiggy recently had her bloods re ran, and we are pleased to say her thyroid levels are almost back to normal.
Her liver levels have also dropped significantly. She has now had an injection for her arthritis and seems to be much happier. We will re-assess her in the coming weeks and get her booked for the dental she needs.

If you think you could give Tiggy the retirement home she deserves, we are now looking at applications for a long-term foster home. We will cover all of her medical bills.

Please be aware that you will need to commit to regular appointments at Coquet Vets, who have been wonderful with our Tiggy.

Georgie (8mth female) & Felix (3mth male)

These two beauties are siblings from different litters. A bonded pair so need to be homed together.

Felix is an absolute snugglebug and when he's not chasing Georgie around the house, he's curled up on his fosterers lap, purring away.
Felix has been treated to prevent fleas and worms.
He will leave us microchipped and will need to be neutered when old enough.

Georgie is a bit more independent but likes to curl up at her fosterers feet, she enjoys the occasional scratch under the chin, and gives a few little love bites in return. She'll usually sit back and let Felix play, but if you find a toy they can both play with, she'll show you that she's still very much a kitten
Georgie is neutered, chipped, and treated to prevent fleas and worms.

We see more and more posts about missing pets. Ignoring the fact it is law for dogs and cats to be microchipped now for just a moment, they have a much higher chance of being found if they are microchipped AND DETAILS ARE KEPT UP TO DATE!! We had to stress that last point, as quite a few of the animalsnthat are microchipped, contact details on the chip don't work!

😻 MAX, MADDIE & MIKE 😻

This delightful trio arrived several weeks ago after being found abandoned in a garden.
We were contacted by the housing association after workmen found the trio wandering around. They were too young to be away from their mum, had a flea and worm burden, and had no concept of feeding or using a litter tray.

They are now around 11 weeks old. Whilst in our care, they have learned to eat independently and use the litter tray. Their flea and worm burden has been treated and sorted.

They are now looking for their forever home. They can be adopted in a pair, as a trio (if you're brave enough) or if there is a young resident cat already in the home, they can go separately.
They leave us microchipped and will be subject to a neutering contract when old enough.
