Once a week, we have been practicing taking turns and stays on our pop-in visits, and I'm proud of this progress!

Dogs learn physically first and humans learn physically last, so this is a common fork in the road for people on their dog training journey and sometimes feels unnatural at first.
The whole time I'm dancing with Fred, I'm having a conversation with the store assistant because reinforcing the stay is my priority and I'm trying not to be rude to the kind lady helping me in the shop. Sure it feels awkward but actually, no one cares what you're doing as long as you are clearly in control. Also in the pet shop, they understand🥰
