HGA unit 4, task 1. Ace free work
This is Angus, a 7 month old staffy who has unfortunately lived a very sheltered life, he’s never been for a walk or ran around on grass 🥺
He’s come to me for training so he can finally get out to see the world 🤩
This video was taken a few days after settling into my flat, this is the only outside space I could offer him and he was delighted 🥰
I used an ace free work set up to help him settle and soothe after his nose got tired!! And it worked a treat ☺️ he now looks forward to going outside and feels safe and confident when passers by go past.

Video 1 - HGA Unit 2, task 2.
Ruby showing us how it's done! She's gone from being a completely shut down pancake on the table, to this -
When we first introduced clippers to her in her own home, she was put off eating, would run upstairs to hide and get very unsettled around me. It's taken months of hard work from her mum, changing the way she feels about clippers, she no longer fears them, she looks forward to them being turned on 🥰
I was completely shocked of how she transformed in this session, at first she was very wary. Her mum normally feeds her as I work but it was just us this day. After about 10 minutes of very slow progress, doing things she didn't find challenging, she just seemed to completely lean into it as if she had never even been scared of them! 😊
I've found often, working with traumatised dogs, it's very slow and very little progress for a long time, then all of a sudden..... they just seem to "get it" and all your hard work can finally be seen! 😁
