Good evening all , do any of your feline friends meet these requirements?

Calling all cat owners! Could your feline friend be the purrfect donor?πŸ“’πŸ˜Ί

We are asking all cat owners in the region to consider whether their pet is suitable for becoming a blood donor to help keep blood stocks at a healthy level.

For your cat to be suitable, they must meet the criteria below:

πŸŽ‚ Aged between one and eight
βš–οΈ Weighing more than 4.5kg
🩸 They must not have received a blood transfusion themselves
πŸ’‰ Up-to-date with vaccinations and flea treatment
πŸ—ΊοΈ Have not travelled abroad
πŸ’ͺ Healthy and not on medication
😸 Comfortable and relaxed with people

If you are interested in registering your cat as a blood donor, please email Leanne Doherty at [email protected] for more information.

πŸŽ‰ As we continue to celebrate HS Cardiology's 10th anniversary, we promised you an update on our Cardiology Clinician Development Programme! πŸŽ‰

πŸ’ Hannah’s dream was always to deliver affordable peripatetic cardiology services, firmly believing in the benefits this model gives clients, patients and the veterinary practices she supports. The high demand for her services is testament to the quality support she provides!

πŸ«‚ As you know, this has led to the close-knit team expanding in recent years to include 3 cardiologists, 3 cardiology nurses, a referrals coordinator, and the recent addition of a practice manager.

πŸš€ After a decade honing the service, we are thrilled to this year launch the next phase in our evolution. A carefully designed Cardiology Clinician Development Programme will give vets with the same passion for cardiology, thirst for knowledge and desire to excel in specialism the opportunity to join us in a dynamic and expanding sector of veterinary referral practice.

πŸ“’ The first round of recruitment generated a HUGE amount of interest and we're so excited to announce that in June we will welcome not one, but two trainees into our HS Cardiology family!!

πŸ“œ The scheme will support our trainees in becoming RCVS recognised Advanced Practitioners in Veterinary Cardiology, eventually working alongside us as Cardiology Clinicians. The structured programme will combine outstanding hands-on clinical training with an abundance of mentorship and mental health support, and propels the business into the next exciting 10 years of their journey. We can't wait to get started!

From Sharp District & Locum Veterinary Nurses ( Hannah Sharp - Nash RVN )
I just want to say a big big thank you to all of you that have sent me and my family messages , voice mails ,voice messages and flowers.
Unfortunately we lost our best friend Ernie over the weekend. He died in my arms in the sun after a short battle with lymphoma.

I want to send a huge thank you to my wonderful friend & first opinion vet Fiona wall ( who I have worked with and known for the last 15 years ) and her wonderful team at The sands veterinary practice in Tarvin , Cheshire .

I also want to thank and highly
Recommend Hollywell Pet Crematorium, Hollywell , North Wales 🏴󠁧󠁒󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 ( you will have seen the big white paw print on the hill on the right as you travel down the A*5) .

Unfortunately and fortunately, the profession I am in I have taken & sent 1000s of animals to Jason, Steve and Marian over my 18 years in practice , they are the best & most compassionate in their field. They treat every single animal with respect and dignity, I can not recommend enough.

Ernie wasn’t your typical collie ( if you knew him you’d of known he actually was a human /cat 😬) he was raised with cats and quite frankly didn’t ever see
Himself as a collie …he was also petrified of sheep πŸ‘.
He came absolutely everywhere with me , to all my locum practices and to all my District nurse calls.
We traveled all over the north west of England and wales together for the past 10 years. He raised my children with me
As a single parent .
We are beyond heartbroken but absolutely blown away by all your messages and stories you have shared over the last few days .
I am therefore taking this week off to grieve and support my children with their grief process .
I will be accepting new District nurse referrals and locum clients from Monday 29th April , thank you for your continued support.

This will take place on:

Limping is a significant gait change that means something is wrong. The cause of the limp might be up for debate, but it will be linked to pain or discomfort.

It's safer and more beneficial for your dog to assume the presence of pain rather than the absence of pain.

So as some of you may know, I am currently fostering a very unwell Bengal mother and her newborn kittens. We started off with 5 kittens & unfortunately now down to 2 .
Mum ( who my children have named Narla ) is doing well trying hard to keep the remaining 2 alive ,but it’s been a very difficult situation to manage, emotionally and physically. The intensive nursing and trying my best to reduce her stress and anxiety has been a challenge to say the least !
The support from the public has been overwhelming !
Thank you πŸ™
