Roxy was booked in for her second teeth clean, but she decided she wasn't really in the mood for it this time. We got a bit, but not much done 🤷. She thought it was more fun to steal the toothbrush and chew it 🤣

Misty is one of my regulars for a nail clip and advocate application, but her owner had noticed she was licking at a paw and seemed a little sore on it. I had a look, and turns out she had a split claw. Ouchies! I trimmed it right back so it will grow normally. I'm not sure misty was as pleased, but even still, she was a good girl as ever. 🐾❤️🐱

Maisie is a regular for her nails to be trimmed. She's not overly keen on it but the need for treats outweighs her fight so we always manage it in the end 🤣😍 ❤️🐾 look at that face

Hog update * little man is feeling much better, is lapping for himself, a little more active. Had several good feeds along with some rehydration solution and some rest. 🤞 George will be ok!

Happy Sunday everyone! This job is 7 days a week! Got called out to 2 more baby hedgehogs we highly suspect mum has died, she was injured and hadn't been seen for 2 days and the babies were calling out. The girl was sadly not savable, she had a severe facial injury and multiple puncture wounds to her which flies had laid eggs in and the maggots had started to hatch under the skin. Awful. But the boy seems fine, very dehydrated. But with some TLC, fluids, and a belly full of food he seems perky this afternoon! He will join the other 3 I had earlier in the week as they are similar ages. My vet friend Naomi has had them for 2 days, we are "co-parenting" the babies 🤣 more updates to follow!!

Day 2 of caring for these little guys 🦔❤️
They are learning to lap food for themselves (as you can it's extremely messy 🤦😂) they are all gaining weight daily and feeding well. Very active and inquisitive!! The only thing is they have no names yet.......... Please post your suggestions below and I'll pick my favourites later! We have 2 boys and a girl

This handsome chap was stunned after being clipped by a car (mine🤦😖) but after a few hours it was clear he had no injuries and was released where I found him. It's baby season so although this chaffinch is a male, he might play a vital role in the rearing of any babies so it's important to put wildlife back to its original place 👍 🪶 gotta protect our beautiful British wildlife!!

Beautiful Bambi had her first emmipet teeth clean and as you can see the results are fab. She has a terrible time with anesthetics so this is the perfect solution for her. We got these great results as she sat perfectly still and was extremely tolerant. What a good girl! 🥰🐾🪥

⚠️ warning, gross pictures!
Have you heard of a hotspot? It's an acute moist dermatitis (infection on the surface of the skin) very common in dogs with long/thick coats.
This is Freddie my dog. I noticed he was scratching his neck, and has a small patch of sore skin. He has such a thick mane, so I clipped the fur to get a better look, and found this huge area of raw wet sore skin (hotspot) 😩
We are 5 days in from the first picture and as you can see it is drying out and healing up although it has caused his alot of discomfort!
Hotspots can be caused by leaving wet collars on after a swim, wearing collars all the time, or just sometimes from a small wound/scratch then made worse by the dog scratching. The hot weather doesn't help either! Be aware of your furry babies scratching! Keep a close 👀 or they could end up like this 😖 needing a trip to the vets

Despite giving me and his mum the disapproving side eye 🤣 Monty was a star for his teeth clean! His teeth are pretty good for his age but prevention is always better than a major dental in the future 🪥😁

Any time I go for a small furry nail clip I take treats. Unfortunately Cream was not that easily bought 😂 however she was still good for her manicure despite being unimpressed 🐰

Peanut has a bit of arthritis and doesn't wear her claws down normally so we gave her a manicure. Her friend Tiger Lily was there for moral support 🦆❤️

Its getting warmer folks. Please please don't take any risks with your fur babies. Some people think it's not a thing, but over the years I've seen too many dogs die from heatstroke. It doesn't have to be 30degrees, and it's not just flat face dogs!!!!! HEATSTROKE IS NO JOKE ⚠️🤒
