Today we’re saying a very sad farewell to Sunday Team Member Jessie! This incredible young lady is heading off to Camp America and is going to be a fantastic leader!

This beautiful Pups Humans came in to see us today for some Raw feeding advice.
🐾 We happily discussed the daily requirements of puppies and the way Raw food should be fed at this young age.
🐾 If you’re getting a new Puppy and are a little unsure of how to feed them then do visit us and speak to our Academy trained staff. We’re always on hand to help guide you through the mine field that can be dog nutrition!

Saturday Visitors roundup
Kuma the Rescue American Akita 😍 A gentle giant who took home a selection of Deli treats and a new Halti Training lead.
Dexter the Black Lab popped in for his Symply Kibble
9 week old Golden Retriever Pup who’s Humans came in for some feeding advice and went home with some Tribal Fresh Pressed Puppy food. They also fell in love with some of our new Great & Small toys and purchased some Nail trimmers and a Doodlebone Harness and G&S Adjustable Lead.
What a lovely day! Sorry if we didn’t get chance to capture your K9 today! Pop by anytime and ask for the puparazzi and we’ll happily oblige!

Sad times at K9 Newark as we say farewell to our Assistant Manager Georgie who has left us to re establish her own business.
Georgie is one of our original K9’ers who set up the store from day dot and helped make it as successful as it is today.
Georgie’s passion for dogs is second to none, her knowledge and caring nature will be sorely missed in store by staff and customers alike.
Please join us in wishing Georgie every success in her new venture and we hope she comes back to visit us often with all her K9 companions too!

😍 9 week old Meg came to see us 😍
Isn’t she beautiful! Her lovely humans came in to chat with us about Kibble and the difference between Regular and Large Breed Puppy foods.
🦴 By feeding a kibble designed for larger breeds it ensures their joints are cared for from day one, giving them longevity and better mobility all the way through into their senior years!
27kg+ as an adult dog is generally considered a Large breed, so yes even some Labradors, Retrievers etc are actually classed as large breeds.
This little one went home with a bag of our More 1st Steps Large Breed Puppy Kibble, with a high meat content and tasty Hypoallergenic recipie we’re sure she’s going to love it and thrive!
If you’re unsure if your dog should be on a large breed kibble then pop in store and speak to one of our academy trained staff!

We’d like to introduce you to Bueno! Isn’t she just the cutest 😍 she’s 9 weeks old and already gives the best cuddles!
Team member Elsie is fast learning just how awesome her new job is too! Puppy cuddles and a great boss LOL!
Thanks for bringing little Bueno in today, we really hope she enjoys her treats, it’ll be wonderful watching her grow up!

How SLOW can you go?

Dogs “wolfing” their food down really isn’t ideal for their digestion and can lead to issues such as Bloat, flatulence and sore guts.
Using a slow feeder bowl not only prolongs dinner time making your dog feel fuller but also helps aid the digestion process.

Gorgeous boy Dougie came in to visit us during a power cut today! We had a lovely chat with his Humum and treated him to a few licks of or Doggy Doggy Yum Yum Ice cream! We’re thinking it should now be called Dougie Dougie Yum Yum! 😂 While we waited for the power to come back we had a little impromptu slip lead walking practice and helped his Humum with the best technique to hold her new Slip lead for it to be effective.
