Happy Bank holiday Monday! Had a good couple of days grooming! Going clockwise, we have Sunday, Poppy, Magic, and Alfie and they’re all Doodles! ❤️

Only two photos today. I’ve been grooming this week but been rubbish at taking photos. I must say I’m rather pleased that I got air conditioning fitted in 2022! 😜

Little Lola on the left who is soo sweet and Marley who isn’t keen on being groomed but seemed a lot happier after his tidy up! ❤️

I had Kobe in this morning for a groom. He’s a very sweet boy but I don’t think he realises that I can’t easily groom him when he’s horizontal!😜 I hope he looks nice mummy! 🥰

Please spread the word about walking dogs in hot weather. It may seem obvious to most of us but dogs will end up burning their feet if they walk on hot ground.

Always put your hand on the ground, pavements, and artificial grass to feel the heat. Remember we wear shoes - they don’t! Let’s all enjoy this lovely weather safely! 🌞

Remember, if it’s too hot for your hands or your bare feet, then it’s too hot for their paw pads! ⚠️

If you’re unsure whether it’s okay to let your pet go for a walk on pavements, a simple way to test the temperature is by holding your bare skin on the tarmac for five seconds ⏱️

If you find it painful, then your pet will find it painful to walk on!

To protect your pet, it’s best to avoid walks during the hottest part of the day, which is usually between 8am and 6pm. If you can't safely exercise your dog, missing a day won't hurt.

Happy Monday everyone! I’m still offering teeth cleaning for dogs (although appointments are limited) and have been getting some extremely pleasing results. The photos are after only one session. I did advise the owner to take the dog to the vet due to a lose tooth.

Of course, it goes without saying that ultrasonic teeth cleaning with Cleany Teeth UK Ultrasound Toothbrush For Dogs will not work for all dogs, and in some cases the only option is for the veterinary surgeon to clean under sedation.

Only one session and starting to get some visible results! Top photos show the teeth before the CleanyTeeth session and the bottom photos are afterwards. I’m confident that they will improve even more after a few more sessions.

I think canine oral health and hygiene should be given more attention. We’re all very focused on giving our beautiful dogs the best nutritional food and regular exercise but a healthy mouth, teeth and gums are equally as important.

Try to regularly look at your dog’s teeth and get them used to having their mouths being opened and gums being touched. If you can, start brushing their teeth once a week. You can use a bamboo tooth brush and dog tooth paste and gently work around their mouth.

Remember this will pay dividends later on in their lives and will hopefully prevent having to go to the vets for a teeth clean and in some cases extraction under sedation. Please message me if you have any questions. I have availability in late June for teeth cleaning appointments. 🐾

I had little Lola in for an Easter tidy up and she was such a good girl! She enjoyed the bath and looked sooo cute afterwards!

My daughter Lara absolutely loves Lola and will be sad that she’s missed seeing her! ❤️

Morning All,

I wanted to let you all know that due to health issues, I will be reducing my working hours in the grooming salon. This means I won’t have the flexibility to offer some of the grooming that your dogs require.

I have put together a list of local groomers who I know personally and feel confident in recommending.

This will not affect the majority of my client base however if this does affect you, you will be contacted. Please know this is nothing personal against you or your pet but something I must do to give my body a break.

Some of you have been very kind and understanding which makes the process much easier.
