Welcome arlo the rottie he has joined us on our training program for dog reactivity, lose lead walking, in house manners, basic obedience and muzzle conditioning. Arlo gets very frustrated when he sees another dog and usually leads to him redirecting onto the owner.

Our 2 year old Rottweiler Tommy has just returned from a 4 week board and train with Josh Jb_protectiondogs
Before he left we were struggling with his dog aggression, lead pulling, manners and muzzle conditioning. We just can’t believe the difference! He walks to heel on a very loose lead, he sits, goes down and stays with simple commands and even gets excited to put his muzzle on!
Our lives are so much easier thanks to Josh and we can’t thank him enough! As you can see Tommy has settled in nicely back at home now 🤣but he will be going back to stay with Josh anytime we go away! The bond they have is incredible 🥰💙🐶

Today was a very hard day for me selling my first protection dog to tridentelitek9 where she is going to continue some training and then will go to a lucky family as a gp/pp. I couldn’t be happy to hand her over to Ash at trident and can’t wait to see where she ends up. You’ll be missed echo❤️

Sold. ECHO is up for sale or co-own🔥 Amazing 16month old GSD that’s great with kids. Echo has a medium-high ball drive and high food drive. Echo’s started her journey in psa with me and has been progressing amazingly. She will suit a GP/ ppd or an active pet home. She will be continuing her psa journey with me untill she finds the right home👀🏡

Over and over I’ve seen owners struggling with the same issue. The early phases of the reactivity sequence seem benign, or at the very least so mild that it would be unfair to correct them for it.

Unfortunately, these early phases or stages are anything but benign. They’re the required initial steps your dog must go through to get to the dreaded big stuff that all of you struggling with seriously reactive dogs know so well.

Which is why if you your dog has reactivity issues, the very best practice you can get into is requiring your dog to simply keep their mind—and eyes—on their own business. Scanning for trouble and “mad-dogging” other dogs has to removed from the menu.

If you learn to correct your dog (appropriately) for any untoward looking, and you do so with tools your dog cares enough about to actually stop the looking, you can actually stop this terribly predictable reactivity sequence in its tracks.

After all, that’s what most great dog trainers do, and it’s what most amazed owners think of as “magical” timing. Alas, there is no magic, just a keen awareness of how all this plays out.

XL BULLIES , THE LAW AND OUR ADVICE

We are, obviously, receiving a huge amount of messages from concerned owners of XL Bullies

To answer a few questions:

Yes, if you already own an XL Bully, the dog will be classed as a banned breed, and you will have to go through the exemption process to be able to keep your dog under DEFRA’s exemption rules.

We do not know yet how they will define XL’s, we can assume it will be similar to how they define Pitbull Type: Measurements and Characteristics.

Our advice, at this time, if you suspect your dog is an XL, get them neutered ASAP.

To have your dog exempted, it must be neutered.

If it’s not neutered and it’s seized, you will NOT get your dog back until it has been neutered.
Better having them neutered now by your own vet than the police approved kennels getting them done.
Also, if your dog is already neutered, you may be able to stop your dog going into kennels, there’s the IES (Interim Exemption Scheme) that a few forces use, where you can keep your dog at home, under conditions, until the court date for exemption.

Muzzle train your dog now!!

This will prove you’re a responsible owner, and, also prepare your dog for having to keep them muzzled, at all times, in public, this includes in your car etc.

They must also be on a lead at all times and can never be off lead again unless in enclosed paddocks.

If the police come for your dog DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING!!

They may try to blag you into signing: Oh sign this to say you understand why we are taking your dog.

DONT!!! You’ll be signing for them to put your dog to sleep.

We appreciate that this news is frightening for many and many will be angry!!

Keep calm at all times with the authorities, they will be judging you and your behaviour as well as your dog!!

The XL Bully ban⚠️ owners it’s time to take action for your dogs!

Once this ban has been set into place, there will be certain rules which allow you to keep your beloved animals. These may be things such as
-dog being muzzled In public -dog kept on lead in public
-having your doing neutered
-not to be walked by anyone under the age of 16
-third party insurance
-microchipped

Act now for a higher chance of keeping your XL Bullies❤️

Storm embark results are back and she is clear of all 255 genetic health conditions!🙏 BVA hips 5/4 elbows 0/0 happy to say storm is 100% happy and healthy and we will be planning a litter with her very soon❤️
