Loki had his nails trimmed the other day with me. As he is such a happy waggy boy, sometimes his nails can scratch, so we took the tips off to help with this.

He was an absolute star patient and very much enjoyed a tasty treat after 🐶

How gorgeous is he?!

Nail trimming is essential for maintaining good health. If a dog's nails are allowed to grow, they will curl over into a spiral shape; walking will become increasingly painful. Uncut nails may curl so far that they pierce the paw pad, leading to infection and debilitating pain.
Ideally, you shouldn't be able to hear their claws on the floor when they walk! 🐕

🐱COMPULSORY MICROCHIPPING FOR CATS FROM 10TH JUNE🐱

Microchipping your cat gives them the best chance of being identified and returned to you if they go wandering off!

🐾 Cats must have a chip implanted before the age of 20 weeks old.
️🐾 Contact details stored and kept up to date in a pet microchipping database.
🐾 After this date, owners will be given 21 days to get their cat chipped or face a fine of up to £500 if they don’t comply.

Even though I don't offer this microchipping service, please book any unchipped cats as soon as you can!

The beautiful Sunny had her nails clipped today!

She didn't have much off as she has quite long quicks (the blood supply to the nail, we don't want to catch that!) and does some pavement walking to help her nail length anyway!

Benefits of regular nail clips include:
- reduced risk of injury as they don't catch as often!
- Help their mobility for elderly patients with arthritis
- If they are a 'jumper upper' - they can cause less scratch marks all over you!

💛Today is Dogs In Yellow Day, a day to raise awareness of what it means when you see a dog in yellow and to recognise that some dogs struggle in public spaces.💛

I have a further qualification called a "suitably qualified person" for dogs, cats and other small furry friends which means I can dispense some medications that you cannot get over the counter in the pet shops!

How to book, hours and a bit on payments!

My hours are a little sporadic due to having the children in the day and having another job in the evening times but these will change over the next few months once I've gauged what works for you all and how busy I will be.

I have some vague times I will be working but the BEST way to book is to speak to me direct about when is best for you so drop me a message, call or whatsapp on 07955 454289 or book me direct on the zumi app and download it onto your phone!

A reminder to keep all those valentines day chocolates out of reach of your pets! 🍫

If you were lucky enough to get some flowers too and they contain lillies, keep an eye on any pet that may want to chomp them! 🌷

If you're concerned that your pet has ingested any of these, please call your vet ASAP.

Here's your annual reminder to keep Valentine's Day chocolate away from little paws! 💌 🍫

⚠️ Always speak to your vet if your dog eats chocolate.

Hi 👋

I'm Beth and I'm a Registered Vet Nurse.

I trained through the University of Portsmouth and have worked in a range of first opinion and referral practices since qualifying in 2016.

I have always lived locally to Newbury and once qualified, I worked at a local practice for many years so some of you may recognise me!

Since having my two children, I am looking for a little more flexibility with my work and I feel that this is an important service to offer for any elderly or nervous pets, especially! Or just for your convenience!

I will be posting about the services I offer soon along with the hours I will be working, how to book and my new logo! A few examples of the services I offer include:
