Keeping the pooches cool in the heat! 🥵

It’s important that when the hot weather comes to keep your pawed friends safe!

- Wet towels can be useful in keeping your pups cool in the heat, on their belly and paws is where it’s most effective.

- Having access to water throughout the day. However, do not give them lots of water straight after exercise or if they’re showing signs of heatstroke (Heavy panting and difficulty breathing, Excessively drooling ,your dog appears lethargic, drowsy or uncoordinated, Collapsed or vomiting) as this can be dangerous! Allow them to drink small amounts of cool water though!

- Exercise them at cooler times if the day 🐾

Remember if the pavement is hot for your hand it’s definitely hot for their paws 🐾

Staffies - I personally own a Stafford seen on a few of my posts, they have the most precious smiles and loyal as anything (giving very big and very slobbery loves and kisses!) , they are a very boisterous breed which means you’re constantly kept on your toes! 😁🐾 P.S Who doesn’t love a staffy smile 😃

Very Mucky walk today, showcasing Shelby and Rocco finding a lovely muddy puddle 🤣 Tiga having a nice stroll tonight and mum and son staffy enjoying their outings this morning 🐶🐾
Then finally Me after the walk with Rocco and Shelby came back more muddy than the pair of them and a ball down as it got lost in the swamp 🤣 I do love my job

Lovely evening walk again with Tiga. 12 years old she is! Living her best life in retirement from working as an explosive and security dog😁

Did you know: German Shepherd’s were originally used as herding dogs, which Tiga here exhibits beautifully by herding me every walk! 😃 They are also going to be my next breed of choice! 😁🐾

Fun fact: Belgian Malinois were originally bred for herding! But nowadays they are an extremely high driven versatile dog that love to work 🥰
