Had another productive training session with Bosco today!

With In-hand work and a short ride to finish we focused on improving his suppleness, balance, and hindquarter engagement.

He's making great progress in understanding how to use his body more effectively, which will lead to a more balanced and relaxed frame.

We're working together to build a strong foundation for his future.

Training with Bosco 🐴

Irish Sports Horse

My main focus with this wonderful horse is to improve overall suppleness, relaxation, and balance through lateral work both in hand and ridden, enabling us to work together as one in harmony.

Exercises 👇

We started with some straight and lateral jaw flexions to help release some tension under the throatlash, neck and back.

In hand leg yield and mobilisation to promote suppleness and engagement of the hindquarters and an overall understanding of moving away from the pressure of what then became my inside leg.

Emphasized maintaining forward momentum while stepping sideways.

Ridden Leg Yielding - Starting at the walk,
gradually progressing to the trot. Focused on smooth transitions and maintaining a
consistent rhythm.

⭐️ Some teaching availability left for this week ⭐️

This client had lost confidence after a fall while cantering, leading to hesitation and fear of falling again.

Through consistent work, I've helped her regain her confidence.

We focused on gradual progression, building a strong foundation, and emphasizing control and balance.

By addressing her mental state, providing positive reinforcement, and encouraging visualization and goal setting, we've enabled her to push the horse forward confidently while maintaining relaxation and enjoyment in her riding and have been able to continue progressingin the canter.
