We had the most amazing afternoon at @jaymillerscircus, we go every year and it’s always a real highlight.

By following these tips, you can keep your dog both mentally engaged and safe during the summer months.
1. **Plan Ahead**: Preparing the night before ensures everything is ready for a busy day, keeping your dog engaged and comfortable.
2. **Use Budget-Friendly Equipment**: Check out Facebook Marketplace and car boot sales for affordable outdoor gear, like toddler playsets, which can double as great dog enrichment tools.
3. **Provide Shaded Areas**: Ensure your dog has plenty of shaded spots to move between as the temperature changes, allowing them to regulate their body heat.
4. **Water Management**: Keep water fresh and cool, and don’t worry about adding ice—it’s perfectly safe for dogs and can help keep them cool.
5. **Meals**: Offer smaller, more frequent meals to accommodate a reduced appetite in the heat. Avoid leaving food out to prevent spoilage, especially kibble, which can go rancid quickly in hot conditions.
IOW GARLIC FESTIVAL 2024
It’s so close we can SMELL it!! 🧄
Our annual collaboration with @iowgarlicfestival where we sponsor their fantastic FUN dog Show!

The medals, trophies and stunning rosettes are here and we can’t wait to see you guys for our 3rd step out into the main arena. I can not promise the jokes will be any better but I can guarantee they will be just as bad! 📣
Who is coming?
A visit to school for 👑 As usual she took it all totally in her stride…… 👌🏼 @hampdach_dachshunds
We practice what we preach! When we send Puppies home habitualised to things such as fireworks and ask our Pawrents to keep up the training - we also ensure we do this with our adults ……
We live right by the Isle of Wight Festival site and after work tonight we sat and listened to GREENDAY in the hot tub, knowing any minute the Fireworks would start ……
No problem….. lots of reassurance and positive happy tones, making sure they can see what’s creating the noise - smell it and see that we are happy and not stressed …….and they followed suit!
This is your sign to put Fireworks on your Alexa!
PROUD PREZIOSA PAWRENTS RIGHT HERE
Absolutely ADORE them, they have been an utter delight and as the week draws closer to home time, my heart feels pretty heavy…… 😭
B A L L O O N S 🎈
It’s all good fun - but underneath it’s so much more!
We think about potential what they might see, hear or smell that without positive exposure may worry them. We then introduce it or a similar experience in a positive way!!!
So this little game covers loads of noises, bags or tarp blowing outside, chair covers blowing, deckchair canvas blowing, rummaging of bags, thunder, wind etc and of course balloons!!!!
They were fascinated and so confident and I loved how a few of them even pulled the balloon along by the string!
⚠️ Warning ⚠️ Don’t ever tell me I can’t, I’ll break every bone I have, to show you I can………

Not only is it lovely to have a fully groomed, sweet smelling Puppy to collect.
It’s hugely important for us, it’s the last step before home time - it’s always been the last thing we do before they have a nap and get collected.
It helps with the letting go and is the routine the children have known since day 1. Sometimes they help sometimes they stay away until they have left.
Bitter sweet Day today 🐾🫶🏼
