🧼✨Why should horses be bathed before clipping? 🧼

Bathing a horse before clipping is essential for both the quality of the clip and the comfort of the horse. Here’s why:

🔶 Clean dry Coat = Sharp Clip:🔶
Dirt, dust and wet hair dull clipper blades quickly, leading to a patchy/ liney finish. Starting with a clean, dry coat allows for a smoother, more precise clip, with blades gliding effortlessly over the hair.

🔶 Comfort for the Horse: 🔶
Removing grime and grease prevents the clipper blades from pulling on the horse’s coat, reducing irritation and making the process more comfortable.

🔶 Longer Blade Life: 🔶
Dirty coats causes extra wear on clipper blades, leading to blades blunting quickly and more frequent sharpening or replacement.

🔶looking after clipper motors🔶
Dirty coats put excess stress on the clipper motors which are very expensive to replace after damage!

🧽Make bath time part of your clipping prep! Your horse will thank you, and the results will be worth it. 🐴💧
