This is Loki the only remaining pup from our latest litter. He is now 9 weeks old and waiting for his inoculations before he can go to Mole Valley like his half-brother Charlie. His sire is Champion Desjeim von der Herdesfarm (Jimmy) and his mother is Felsental Lucinda (Lulu).

Update on Thursday 23rd May. Loki went to see the vet this morning for his first inoculation. He loved looking out of the window of the van and travelled very well. He enjoyed meeting the staff and passed his health check with flying colours!

It is with sad hearts that Sandra and I lost Felsental Hussar (Boris) yesterday. Boris was 13 years old and was the dog 'in charge' at the kennels. He had a good show career himself but was also the sire of our fabulous Felsental H***y (Lucy). He was such a character he will be a hard act to follow and we, and the other dogs, will miss him immensely.

Little "Charlie" is still with us. He's finished his inoculations and has had a little lead training. We had to take Lulu to the vet for a blood test so we put him in the van for a socialisation session on the way back. Here he is at Mole Valley Farmers checking out the toys. We now know that he loves people but is not so keen on trolleys!

At the GSD club of Devon on Sunday 10 year old Felsental H***y (Lucy) is pictured with her daughter and granddaughter.

Our latest litter of pups now 5 weeks old (pictured with Sandra to stop them escaping!) Father is Denise Hensley's fabulous dog, Champion Desjiem van der Herdesfarm (Jimmy) and mother is our own Felsental Esprit (Bootsie). This is half the litter, the other half are spoken for. For many years we have had a day out once a year with a couple of dogs. This started with Ghandi (von der Zenteiche) and Zeline (vom Luttersbruch). Their birthdays were the same week as Jim's so September was chosen. When they were no longer with us Morse (Felsental Endeavour) took over. We lost him earlier this year and Frankie (Felsental Franko) was a good boy at shows so we decided to take him to Muchelney Abbey in Somerset. We intended to let him explore the outside then leave him in the car while we had a quick look inside. Much to our surprise Frankie was allowed anywhere we wanted to go! He is pictured inside the Abbots House.
Well done English Heritage and thank you to the staff for making us so welcome, they even had some treats for him under the counter!

We thought that those of you who own puppies sired by Desjiem van de Herdesfarm (Jimmy), owned by our friend Denise Hensley, who was mated to Felsental Viviana has at last won his third Challenge Certificate and is now (subject to KC approval) a Champion! Very well done to Jimmy and Denise, we appreciate how much work this entails.

Three shows in five days! We went to the Royal Welsh Showground at Builth Wells on Thursday because they were holding two championship Shows on the same day. Due to the cost of travel and the entry fees for a Championship Show we only took Felsental Franko (Frankie). In the North Wales GSD Club championship show he was 1st in Minor Puppy Dog. In the Welsh Kennel Club Championship Show he again was 1st in Minor Puppy Dog and Best Puppy Dog! Thanks to Andrew Connolly for handling him in both shows. It was a long day for a young Puppy and he behaved very well. He got in trouble once with the Field Officer for "double handling" when he was chewing his favourite toy and making it squeak!! (He thought it was Sandra!!)

Congratulations to our friend and neighbour Denise Hensley and her fabulous dog Desjiem van der Herdesfarm (Jimmy) for receiving his fourth RCC.

We went to South Western GSD Club open show yesterday taking Felsental Franko (Franky), sibling Felsental Foxtrot (BamBam) both 8 months old, their first show and Felsental H***y (Lucy), almost 10 years old, to keep them out of trouble! The judge was Wendy Middleton who is a well known breed specialist. Much to our surprise Franky was 1st in Minor Puppy Dog, BamBam 1st in Minor Puppy Bitch (despite enjoying the class far too much!!) and Lucy, who really loves the show ring was 1st in Veteran Bitch. She also went on to win a lovely rosette and trophy for Best Veteran in Show, Special thanks to Ann and Kate for handling them, the pups were not the easiest to keep from saying hello to the spectators around the ring!
A special thank you to Denise, Ann and their helpers for setting up the show and for managing to arrange food and drink for everyone when their caterer let them down at the last minute. The atmosphere was exceptional just like shows 20 years ago and everyone had a great time. We must remember that unless we support the open shows they will disappear as many have done already.

Nemo (Felsental Victory) training yesterday at the GSD Club of Devon. Dave and Denise Hensley came up to help with his first session. They are the owners of his sire, Dejeim von der Herdesfarm, who is producing excellent puppies. It was very difficult for us to decide which one of the litter to keep. Special thanks to Dave for coming out of retirement to handle him and Denise for taking the pictures.

We had Lucy (Felsental H***y) entered in "Veteran Bitch" at Crufts on Friday under breed specialist Mrs P. Roe. Thanks to Andrew Connolly who has handled her since she was 4 months old she was placed 3rd. Not bad for 9 1/2 years old.
Congratulations to Denise Hensley with Jimmy (Desjiem van de Herdesfarm) winning Limit Dog and going on to win the Dog C.C. We are very proud to say that Jimmy is the sire of our last litter. (www.champdogs.co.uk/litter/64863)

I'm sorry that you can no longer see the picture of our latest litter. Despite the fact that we are registered with the Kennel Club, fully inspected and licenced by the local authority and have been breeding puppies for over 60 years Facebook have decided that the picture and description of our pups has broken their rules and they have removed it. I have no idea why as we have advertised our pups on Facebook since at least 2010. I'll try to get the picture back on but in the meantime, if you want any information, please ring Sandra any evening after 7pm 01626 833260. Thanks for your support.

We just take this opportunity to let our followers know that we have puppies born that will be available to view in Mid-january. Our first trip for some time yesterday to the Royal Welsh showground at Builth Wells where two shows were held on the same day! We took the oldest and youngest from the kennels. The oldest was Felsental H***y (Lucy) aged almost 9 and the youngest was Felsental Porsche (Kira) aged just 8 1/2 months, her first show.
In the morning was the Welsh Kennel Club Championship Show judged by Marion Hodgson where Lucy won Veteran Bitch and went on to win Best Veteran in Breed. Kira won Minor Puppy Bitch.
In the afternoon was the North Wales GSD Club Championship Show judged by breed specialist John Cullen. Kira was first this time winning Minor Puppy Bitch and going on to win Reserve Best Puppy in Show. Lucy was in one of the last classes of the day winning Veteran Bitch and again Best Veteran in Show. Kira qualified for Crufts at her first show!

Yesterday at Leicester Championship Show, FELSENTAL PATRIOT (P'YANKI DU VAL D'ANZIN x FELSENTAL PERLE) won Minor Puppy Dog and then went on to win Best Puppy Dog under breed specialist Joe Summerhill. Congratulations to Terry Welch and Carol Keen, we hope that Dexter continues with his success.

We were fed up with our Chrismas greeting still being the first item on our page. We thought that people who bought pups from us recently would like to see Reneè (P'Yankee Du Val D'Anzin) proudly owned by Carol Keen. He is the sire of our last three litters and we are getting superb pups from him.This picture was taken a couple of weeks ago during our Sunday training sessions at the GSD Club of Devon. If anyone is looking for training classes the Club is very friendly and training is offered in ringcraft, obedience and lots of other fun activities.

We received some excellent news yesterday.
Felsental Elite (Ch. Hettel di Casa Mary x Ch. Conbhairean Erika vom Felsental), now owned by our friend Toby Green (Greenveldt) was placed first in the Adult Male class at the Midlands GSD Group Regional Show last weekend. The judge was SV qualified Johannes Lijffijt.
We were very pleased with the news and congratulate Toby and his team who work so hard to prepare their dogs for Regional shows.
