Dogs love the Snow ❄ but please be careful on gritted areas ⛄ Have a great snowday 🐶

🛑🛑🛑WARNING - HELP PROTECT OUR PETS🛑🛑🛑

With the snow and ice expected, the roads may well be gritted. If you walk your Dog on gritted roads/paths please make sure that their paws are washed either by walking them through a few puddles away from the gritted surfaces or by dipping their feet in fresh water once at home.
‼️ Every year hundreds of pets throughout the country become seriously ill and in some cases die because of the rock salt and antifreeze being used during the cold snap. Dogs and Cats walk through the substances left by gritters trying to clear roads and car drivers defrosting their windscreens and then licking them off their paws.
‼️ Consuming rock salt can cause dehydration, liver failure and pancreatitis, while antifreeze contains the chemical ethylene glycol, which can be lethal when ingested.

Hello 😀 I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and I wish you the best of health and happiness for 2025. I would just like to take this opportunity to say thank you for every like, share, comment and review and of course for using my little business Country Canines Home from Home dog Boarding . After losing my wonderful boy Leonidas I just couldn't face the thought of going through that pain again and so I set up Country Canines ❤ as I've never not had a dog in my life.
Your wonderful dogs have filled my heart and home with so much joy, I love every one of them as if they were my own, and they do truly have a home from home experience. The amount of times I say " oh I could keep this dog " is unbelievable 😆 .
2025 is filling up fast!
January and February is just about full ! Still space in March, April and June
Summer is also filling up so if you are thinking of summer holidays let me know 😊 Melanie x

Well that's Waffle on his way home and the end of another wonderful year here at Country Canines Home from Home dog Boarding, what a busy one !!
I've loved having all your amazing dogs, they've made me laugh, smile and gave the best hugs and I can't thank you enough for supporting my little business and trusting me with your fur babies.
We are now closed for Christmas but any pet emergencies don't hesitate to get in touch. Also some new and exciting plans for next year too, so watch this space.
I'm off to Leeds Christmas Markets now for a couple of nights and leaving my own animals in the very capable hands of Hannah at Tails & Trails Borrowby . Merry Christmas 🎅 and thank you so much 💗
