Beautiful Max came in for our Bath & Blowdry service, but this isn’t an ordinary Bath & Dry! 🛁

Do you ever wonder what goes into making your pooch fluffy and smelling amazing? Well, here’s what we do at Shabby to Chic!

Step 1 👉 Max was lathered twice in our luxurious Blown Away shampoo, specific for shedding dogs to help remove that dead coat. This shampoo is made by The Pawdinary , a completely natural and cruelty free product AND it smells amazing!

Step 2👉 We use a high velocity dryer to blow out all the compacted dead coat and ensure the coat is completely dry. We do not use this dryer on the head and tail.

Step 3👉 We then use a stand dryer to dry the head, ears and tail, then brushing through the rest of the coat making it look super fluffy and straight.

Step 4👉 We use many different types of tools to remove dead coat and brush through the coat including:
- Deshedding Rake
- Zoom Groom
- Undercoat rake
- Groom Buddy
- Slicker Brush
- Detangling comb

Step 5👉 Lastly the finishing touches, clipping the nails, cleaning/ plucking the ears and spraying your pooch with one of our amazingly smelling natural colognes! My personal favourites are wood sage & seasalt and sandalwood & vanilla 😍

This mornings home visit! Azzie & Barkis were both rescued from the Dogs Trust and were a little nervous and wary. So we took things slow and did as much as they’d let me do, without losing any fingers! 😉 But they did well for their first Initial teeth cleans today! 🦷🪥

First visit for Nellie and what a transformation! We soon got rid of those grinch feet and transformed them into nice cat feet! Isn’t she a pretty girl! 😍

This is Pop! What a brilliant name! 🎈 As you can see, we removed plenty of dead coat and he definitely left feeling a bit lighter! 😀 Believe it or not, short coated dogs need as much grooming as longer coated dogs do! We recommend a grooming schedule of between 8-10 weeks.

Very handsome boy Rodney came in for the full works! 🫧First a nice bath in our deshedding shampoo, followed by a blow dry and removing all that dead coat! Lastly, an initial teeth clean to tidy up those teeth and get them looking shiny and white! 🦷🪥

SWIPE👉 This curly wurly hairy boy was definitely in need of a good trim up! His mum had been previously grooming Bentli herself, but thought it was time to let the professionals do it! 🙈 Doesn’t he look like a smart handsome boy! Not to mention, he went away with sparkling white teeth after his first Initial Teeth Clean! 😍

Great news we’ve finally hit the summer weather!! ☀️ But with the heat, comes with precautions we need to take with our pooches! Here are some tips! 🐾 Rest assured we also have air con in the salon, to make sure they are cool during their pampering sessions! 😎 Please, do not walk your dog to their appointment if you can help it! Pavement surfaces are too too hot! 🥵

Wonderful Rosie came in for the full works, including our Skin & Coat Package! This included a Blueberry Facial 🫐, Paw & Nose balm 🐾 and Shedding Mud Scrub 🌿 ! She left smelling and looking amazing! 😍
