Oh what a cutie you are Barney! 😍
Barney has come such a long way in grooming and it’s hard to believe how much we’ve overcome together!
He had a lot of aggression towards the dryer, clippers on his legs and feet, his tail being touched, nearly everything!
I don’t like using muzzles unless absolutely necessary and at the beginning this was.
Slowly, but surely with a lot of reassurance, trust and treats, Barney is now relaxed throughout his grooms and no muzzle is to be seen! Yay!

🐾 Exciting News! Introducing our bigger and better, Puppy University Package!🎓 🐶
A package designed specially to ease your new puppy into the world of grooming! 🐾

Our package includes 4 sessions that breaks down the process of grooming.
How our sessions are broken down:

Session 1: This session offers a 30 minute meet and greet. This is when we get the pleasure of meeting you and your puppy, show them around the salon and introduce them to all the new sounds and smells that they will experience during their visits with us. This session also gives us a good opportunity to chat and get to know you and give any advice or information about grooming that you may wish to know 😊

Session 2: We then introduce your puppy to the bathing process, giving them a nice gentle wash in a sensitive shampoo massaging them from top to toe. We then slowly introduce them to the dryer on a low speed. Once they are dry we then give them a good brush and comb through to ensure they are tangle free and introduce them to the sounds of the trimmers and clippers to prepare them for their first haircut 🥰

Session 3: We repeat the bathing and drying process. This time we then give them a little nail trim, ear clean, clip their pads out, give them a hygiene trim if required and also a little trim round the feet and face to give them vision. All of this will prepare them for their next visit🐾

Session 4: This is your puppies final session! They are now ready for their first full groom! ✂️ In this session we go over everything your puppy has learned so far finally give them their first trim. All the styling we do is based off customer preferences, we will have a thorough chat with you to discuss what style you would like wether it be long or short depending on your life style and what you are able to manage at home between grooms to ensure you and your little pup are happy😊 At the end of this visit your puppy will receive their graduation certificate as they have completed our puppy package, as well as many other benefits! Now they are ready for regular grooming! We typically recommend grooming every 6-8 weeks to keep your puppy smelling and looking fresh 🤩🐾

⚠️ Do you know the warning signs of Lungworm? ⚠️
Lungworm is a risk to your dog all year round, but especially when it's been rainy and the slugs and snails are more prominent! 🐌

Dogs can get infected by this parasitic worm by eating these insects or licking their slime trails. It might be what your dog deems a tasty treat, but it can be extremely dangerous and even become a chronic infection lasting many years.

If you suspect your dog has lungworm or is showing symptoms, call your vet immediately.

Rabbits require regular grooming to maintain their health and well-being. The frequency of grooming can depend on several factors, including the breed of the rabbit, the length of its fur, and whether it is shedding. ✨General Grooming Frequency✨ For most rabbits, it is recommended to brush them at least once a week. This helps to remove loose fur and prevent matting, which can lead to skin irritation or health issues. ✨During Shedding Seasons✨ Rabbits typically shed their fur several times a year, often in spring and autumn. During these heavy shedding periods, it is advisable to increase grooming frequency to daily sessions. This helps manage the excess fur that rabbits may ingest while grooming themselves. ✨Long-Haired Breeds✨ Certain breeds of rabbits, such as Angora or Lionhead rabbits, have longer fur that requires more attention. For anyone with appointments before the opening date, these will still be based in Norwich. And of course, any appointments booked in after this date will be in Wymondham.
