One of our lovely clients recently asked about donating to the cause of all the poor animals caught up in the LA wildfires. Through a family member in California we believe that The Pasadena Humane Society https://pasadenahumane.org/ is a legitimate charity working hard on behalf of these animals and their families, in case anyone else feels similarly and would like to help out.

We are going to be sharing some stories with you from clients to help give you an insight of how we work. Thank you Carol for this lovely story about Castor.

"We started using Paws Indoors after Castor was horribly beaten up by a neighbour’s cat. He had 20 puncture wounds, was barely able to move and very nervous. I knew that he needed attention and that we would never be able to get him into his basket to take him to the vets, which was always a trauma for him even when he was well. We were very impressed that Rosie was able to come and see him that day. The professionalism of her team still impresses us and, as they visit the house for just routine check ups now, they are able to make observations on how to improve his environment."

Murray the puppy doesn’t look nearly as excited as I am about his new big grown up teeth!🦷

Puppies lose their baby teeth and get their adult teeth starting at about four and a half months. Most puppies are unaffected by this although some become quieter than usual and more reluctant to chew.

Looking after your pup’s teeth is very important. If you give them a wide variety of things to chew - there’s lots available in the pet shops - this should do most of the work for you, but always keep a check.
🐈‍⬛ Cats should also be encouraged to chew from a young age. Cats are little lions and in the wild would keep their teeth clean through chewing on fur, sinew and bones. Biscuits can help but are never enough to do the job properly.
Tooth brushing is another way to keep them clean but needs to be done several times a week to be effective. 🪥🪥

Dogs and cats with bad teeth rarely go off their food - they may have tooth ache but they’re still hungry!! ❤️‍🩹 If you have any concerns about your dog or cat’s teeth please call us on 01508 498718.

Happy New year everyone.🥳
We would like to welcome all the new clients that have joined us over the past year.
As we don't have a 'shop front' like most high street practices, where you can come in and meet the staff, we will be sharing a few more pictures and stories so that you can get to know our team a bit better.
Here is Rosie, the founder and senior vet. You can tell she loves her job!🥰🐶
Rosie set the business up over twenty years ago and it has grown from a one man band to a team of eight, last year winning the professional small business category in the Norfolk Small Business awards, and this year being accredited by the Good Business Charter.
Rosie has always been passionate about animals and wildlife. Back in the 1990s she was one of the original tv vets working on Wildlife SOS; repeats of which, embarrassingly, are still available! She has also spent time abroad studying bats, snakes and tarantulas.🦇🐍🕷. Bats are her favourite!
At home Rosie has three dogs, Bazil, Inca and Murray and 19 year old cat Jazzy

Murray the Puppy would like to remind everyone to keep their mince pies, Christmas cake and Christmas puddings well out of of reach
‘Us pups love to chew everything and us noses is really good at sniffing out all your delicious stuffs!’
We have already had to deal with two mince pie emergencies since the beginning of December here at Paws Indoors. If you suspect your pup has eaten any products containing dried fruits, please call straight away. 01508 498718. Always better safe than sorry.
