So very sad day today at Weston when we had to say goodbye to 2 of our fabulous oldies that have lived here for years, have been very much part of the family, and have left us with so many memories 💔 our lovely Limbo, 31 years young who took part in so many of our activities, lessons, Uea training and shows, and was loved by so many of our riders ❤️ he had some of his regular riders still giving him a bit of work up until he was around 26, then retired and was grandad to our last 2 foals Lenni and Freddy, which gave him a new lease of life ❤️ then the lovely Cornelia, 21, who came here to retire after spending her competitive years in Greece where she jumped many European young rider classes until an injury to her eye took her out of the bigger classes but my friend Zakline bought her and carried on jumping her in decent classes until a small leg injury stopped her competitive career. She arrived at Weston to go out in the fields and enjoy retirement, to have babies, which she had one and lost him early, went to Scotland to foster a friends foal, and came back in foal and produced Lenni ❤️ she was a super mum, and has enjoyed a peaceful few years in the fields. Both horses went to sleep peacefully in the sunshine with a mouthful of grass, and hands on their neck ❤️ better to do it a day early rather than a day late ❤️🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈
