Hi all, just a quick update regarding my accident back in April this year. Although the breaks in my shoulder will now be well on the way to recovery, I am still experiencing limited strength and mobility in the affected arm. I am currently having physio every 3 weeks and have exercises to do twice daily. The specialist advises it’s going to be at least 18-24 months for my arm to heel and even then he expects at best that I’ll only get 75% mobility back. I have therefore reluctantly decided to put my pet sitting on hold until the New Year and at that point I will re-evaluate. Any one daily visits all ready booked for this year will have been confirmed with the customer and will be covered by Louise. Thank you to everyone for well wishes and messages of support, it means a lot. Hopefully it won’t be too long before I’m back looking after all of your wonderful pets 🐾 🐶🐭🐹😻xx

Thank you so much to my customers, family and friends for your kind words and support after my recent accident. Fortunately I do not need surgery, but have been told it’s going to be a long road to recovery ❤️‍🩹. I shall let you know when I am able to resume work. **Good morning all. Due to an accident (fall) I had on Thursday morning, causing a broken arm, I am having to cancel pet visits/dog walks (and sits) for the foreseeable. I have privately messaged those customers who have bookings and has advised that Ronnie has kindly made space at her cattery (Millwood) if required. My sister Louise will be covering bookings that are one daily am visits, but unfortunately she can’t cover pm visits.

I have an appointment at the hospital on Monday to discuss treatment going forwards. There’s a possibility I will need a metal plate to help fix the break. The doctor has warned me, that it’s not a quick fix where the break is (shoulder ball/socket) down the humerus bone. They can’t plaster this kind of injury- apparently it’s the most painful break you can have (I don’t do things by half!). It can take up to two years to get movement back and that’s not guaranteed to ever be back at 100%! On the plus side I’m left handed and it’s my right arm that’s broken, every cloud eh?!. I’m currently taking morphine and codeine which takes the edge off the pain.

I don’t do ‘being ill’ so I’m hoping to be back to normal duties ASAP!

What a busy few weeks it’s been, with many more to come!! Might need an assistant at this rate lol 😂. I am fully booked over the Xmas period (includes a small break for myself). Most of the school holiday slots are booked, including May and Oct. I am away myself during the first week in August! Thank you to all of my customers for your continued bookings and to all of my new customers for trusting me to look after your pets..😻🐶🐰🐭

Happy Friday folks! Nice to see the rain has finally given up! Just wanted to put a quick post on here incase anyone had the misfortune of seeing a derogatory comment from a ‘lady’ about me on this page. As you are all aware, animal welfare is my uppermost priority, I adore every animal on this planet (maybe not spiders but I wouldn’t harm one 😊). A long story that I really don’t wish to go into (it’s complicated) I PM’d someone regarding a post I’d seen on FB. The subject in question was the breeding of XL bully dogs (again not straight forward, more personal than I wish to say) and have been getting abuse ever since. I think I’ve managed to block the said person, but sometimes these people can’t help but want to cause trouble and may find another way of getting onto my page. This person has her own business and so does her partner - I wouldn’t have dreamt of putting anything on their pages for all to see. Thank you 😻🐭🐰🐹xx

Here at Radcliffe Animal Centre we are supporting the local community and offering £30 neutering and microchipping for all cats aged 14 weeks and over. This means not only will you be doing the responsible thing of getting your own cat neutered, your fee will stay within the animal centre to help other animals in need.
