Here is a video showing one of the things I like most about Spec.
We live rurally/countryside so we don't often go into town, but he handles some fairly intense situations very well and with a very good mind.
He also is very well behaved and knows when it's time to be calm

Please bare in mind I have no clue what I am doing as I've had like 2 obedience lessons in my entire life, I just wanted to show off how cool he is and how amazing his focus is.

Herding training part 2: Penning.
This is not very graceful work, as these are not trained sheep and they did not want to go into the pen the first couple of tries. It was a game of trying to get them to go right, but into the pen where they didn't want to go and not just run past me.
What I am happy with here is Khios work ethic despite what is ultimately very tedious work with a lot of micromanaging from me.
Again, we have no trainer, and the sheep are not trained either, so it may not be the "correct" way to do this.
We also did a tiny moment of work with him between me and the sheep in this video, which is something we have not done much of so he was a bit confused. This is something we will have to work on as I think it will be a very valuable skill to have.
Herding training with Khio Part 1, gathering.
I havent done much training with Khio since he has been back, and we currently don't have a herding trainer as trainers who will work with off breeds are not common here, so it is all a bit sloppy and ideally I would train him to go much wider and follow the fence.
However, I like seeing him thinking and using his head while working somewhat independantly at a distance, showing his natural instinct and not getting overexcited.
Here's a video of Spec at a busy Saturday market, just training him to ignore other dogs while on lead. He is so confident and well behaved in any situation he's been thrown in, very handler focused, and is just so wonderful for his age and having only been with me 4 days!
