Been a quiet start to the New Year but very much needed.
With my mum in hospital and only home today work had to take a back seat.
Just a reminder just under 2 weeks until my surgery and will need a week or two to recover, so those of you in need of an appointment please get booked in asap.

Afternoon guys. Just a heads up that I’m going in for surgery on the 21st of January and will require a week or two off. I will be in plaster a while but have Katie to help me so appointments will still be available. Anyone wanting to book before I’m off please do so before the diary goes mad!

And that’s a wrap for this week!! Another week full of beautiful babies. Again more new faces. Can’t thank you all enough for trusting me with your fur babies.

I’m off now for a much needed rest and hopefully some sunshine in Portugal.

Another busy week here at Happy Home. We continue to see plenty of new faces. What a pleasure it is to groom all these beautiful babies xx

So today I had a dog leave my salon after I completed the groom. No issues at all whilst the dog was with me. By the time the dog was in the car a nail had started to bleed. The dog was very bouncy and excited to see owner. So I explained the rise in blood pressure on newly clipped nails can result in this.
Anyway I applied clotting agent and stopped the bleeding.
Owner left and within 10 mins I had her mother on the phone to me shouting abuse. How I had caused abuse to her dog and caused it pain and suffering. That I would be getting the vets bill for the dog.

I said that of course I would pay the vets bill on receipt of the vet report and bill.
Dog attended the vets and was told apparently I had clipped nails too short!! (This is from client only and no vet report)

Anyone that knows me, knows how I love all the dogs that come to me for grooming and treat them with nothing but love!!

This really upset me.

I will always inform an owner if I have cut nails and if any have bled, I will deal with the bleeding at the time if any occurs.

I am only human and sadly in this line of work accidents can happen, be it nails, ears, pads etc etc.

Anyway I just want people to be aware that I do love your dogs and I’m extremely sorry if I do ever cause harm to your pets.
It would only be an accident and not intentional!!
