With temperatures set to soar across the UK, consider how you can keep your horse as comfortable as possible 😎

💦The most effective way to cool down a horse is to continuously pour cold water all over their body. Don’t waste time scraping - leaving water on a horse will not make them hotter. Instead, any water sitting on the coat will evaporate and contribute to the cooling process.

Our infographic below provides some simple steps you can take to keep your horse cool and comfortable, as well as signs to look out for if you are worried about dehydration. If you have any concerns for your horse contact your vet immediately.

Hi, welcome to my new page!

Let me introduce myself..... I am Kirsty and I am setting up freelance so I can spend more time at home with my family, and have a bit more time for my own horse, Rodney.
For the last 18 months or so I have been working at a wonderful riding school, I have met some great people and taught a range of different riders.
