Trevarth Black Lad; for the last six years has been performing around the country at shows and events, starred in television programmes, met and worked with celebrities, performed on stage in London's West End and The Cardiff Millennium Centre, received a letter of commendation from Her Majesty The Queen, won talent competitions, but most importantly has been a true companion and friend.

Devon Animal Training Academy - DATA

**** CHARITY PRE-SEASON AGILITY COURSE RUNNING EVENT – 3rd March 2019 ****

Approx. 9.30am – 4.00pm (TBC)

With the kind help of Chloe Brown of Pawsome Agility, DATA will once again be hosting a charity pre-season agility course running event. All proceeds for this event will be donated to a local branch of the Margaret Green Animal Rescue. This reputable charity take in over 1200 pets each year that have become homeless due to a change in circumstances, or that have been neglected, mistreated or abandoned.

Chloe Brown is a KC judge and current member of Agility Team GB. Having competed at the highest level Chloe will be setting courses to put handler and dog partnerships of all abilities through their paces. Whether trying to get in some pre-season ring time, or training in a "show" environment, please join us to have some fun and support this worthy cause.

We plan to run the following courses (KC jump heights) …..

Agility – Large FHO / LHO
Agility – Medium FHO / LHO
Agility – Small FHO / LHO
***Lunch***
Jumping – Large FHO / LHO
Jumping – Medium FHO / LHO
Jumping – Small FHO / LHO

Courses will be set-out with a beginners / intermediate (G1-4) and an intermediate / advanced (G4-7) option. Each dog / handler combination will be allowed to run each course (Agility/Jumping) twice making a total of 4 runs for each entry. Dogs can be entered at lower heights and training in the ring will be encouraged but a 2 minute time limit will apply for each run. Timing equipment will be in use on the day to allow for an element of competition and there will be a number of Judges specials!

Cost of entry will be £10 to cover all runs and refreshments will be available.

DATA are again offering a chance to win 1hr hire of our indoor venue, including brand new Doggy Jumps agility equipment, for use over this Winter (2017/2018). No equipment setup or take down required, so you will get a full 1hr of training for yourself and one other handler.

In order to enter:

1) Like and Follow the Devon Animal Training Academy Page (if you don't already!)

2) Share this post.

3) Comment below including the distance you think our Red covered over the jump in the attached video. (Measured to the nearest half centimetre)

The winner will be the closest guess to the actual distance, measured as the minimum distance between the marks left in the sand on take off and landing. To be announced on the 10th December.

Jessica and I had the most fantastic day yesterday. We were invited by the Chief Editor Craig Glendale to the Cheltenham Book Festival to launch the first ever Guinness World Records Amazing Amimals Book. Jessica was amazing we showcased our world record on stage this was followed by a 2hr professional photo shoot for Jessica to be included in the main Guinness Records Book next year. It was certainly a day to remember for the rest of our lives.
