Feeling disappointed as these two 3 year old stores by Elusive Pimpernel out of multiple winnng mares were nominated for the Doncaster May sales. They passed their inspections with flying colours but were then turned down as it was ‘oversubscribed’. We thought we were breeding exactly what the market wanted, big scopey athletic geldings out of mares with proven soundness but clearly not! Popaway’s son is the darker one. Off to the Ascot sales instead. A bit of a come down… 😞
