October 26, 1937 ~ August 22, 2022 (age 84) It is with great sadness that the family of Barbara Jane Rieman, 84, announces her passing on Monday, August 22, 2022. Born on October 26, 1937, in Cincinnati Ohio, Barb was the second youngest of 9 children to parents Ferd and Hilda Duwel. Young Funeral home (Mt. Healthy).

A special Thank You goes out to the care team at Northgate Park Senior Living. Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same; but as God calls us one by one, the chain will
link again.

In memory of Jonathan Burket
September 15, 1956 ~ August 11, 2022 (age 65) Jonathan “Jon” Paul Burket, 65, passed away at his home on Thursday, August 11, 2022. Jon was born in Cincinnati, OH, to Robert and Joan (Kelly) Burket, and spent most of his life in and around the Village of Greenhills. A member of the Greenhills High School class of 1974, he was a proud lifelong Pioneer. He earned his Bachelors of Science in Pharmacy from the University of Cincinnati.

As a young adult, he served his community as a volunteer firefighter with the Greenhills Fire Department. He served his church community as a Boy Scout Leader and could often be found participating in ministries involving yard and home maintenance for the elderly or disabled. He enjoyed tinkering with cars, electronics, engines, and never shied away from home improvement projects, especially when the car was packed and loaded for the annual Family Reunion trip to Cedar Point. In his retirement, Jon also took particular joy in caring for “used animals" on what he affectionately deemed the “Isle of Misfit Pets.”

Jon will be remembered by his neighbors for his community spirit. Donning decades-old woolen socks, he could be found shoveling the walks and driveways of elderly neighbors during every snowstorm. Friends and family alike will remember him for his dry wit, and unfailing commitment to his point of view.

Jon was a proud parent of two daughters and later became a proud grandparent. Even there, his dry wit shone, selecting the grandparent honorific “Papa John.” Jon was the fourth child of Dr. and Mrs. Robert Burket and spent much of his later life caring for his parents. Jon is survived by his daughters Jill Burket (Mark) Ragase and Leanne (Stephen) Mallory, five grandchildren Philippa, Truman, Finley, Quintin, and Penelope, and four siblings, Bob (Diane) Burket, Marie Burket (Jerry) Andersen, Richard F. (Cynthia) Burket, and Dr. Rebecca Burket (Randy Donohue.)

A location they cherished, especially when they would return to it after traveling the globe, seeing 6 of the 7 continents and visiting or making new friends along the way. Many happy times were spent hosting on their deck, watching countless fireflies appear out of the fields, having a cookout and enjoying the half runner beans Jack grew each summer in his well-tended vegetable garden.

Jack worked with his father, Felix, at the Fryman Oldsmobile dealership during the winter and for 20 years operated the Fryman farm. Farming gave him the joy of spending time in nature, and he had a knack for nurturing plants, animals, and people too.
