Progesterone Testing & Reverse Progesterone Testing🩸

Progesterone Testing is when we test the plasma from your female to identify if your girl is firstly in season and secondly give us a clear indication on when is best to breed to optimise chances of pregnancy and increase litter size. We always recommend progesterone testing your females before breeding as every female is different and ovulation can occur at different stages this will take all the guess work out of things, we advise to start testing on day 8 of the season.

Reverse Progesterone Testing is to identify when your female is ready to give birth or safe to go in for a C Section for me this is really important to ensure mum and pups are safe and ready to come out especially when female is having a c section. We recommend to start reverse testing on day 59 of pregnancy.

We use a AIA 360 to carry out these tests which is the best most accurate machine on the market to ensure every test is of pin point accuracy …

Dogs can suffer fatal heatstroke within minutes. Unlike humans, dogs can’t sweat through their skin and so they rely on panting and releasing heat through their paw pads and nose to regulate their body temperature and keep cool. Imagine wearing a thick winter coat on a hot summer’s day and you’ll understand why dogs succumb to heatstroke so easily.

Signs of heatstroke in dogs include collapse, excessive panting, and dribbling.

If you suspect your pet is suffering from the condition, move them to a cool place, preferably with a draught, wet their coat with cool - not freezing - water, and contact your vet immediately.

Once a dog shows signs of heatstroke the damage is often already done, which is why it’s so important to prevent it.

We now have a range of whelping boxes from Plaztek medium and large for hire or sale they are complete boxes that come with heat lamps, underfloor heating, removable lids and a rubber mat, they make things 100x easier and a must have in any whelp.

We also have there incubators & oxygen machines for hire and sale making sure all them pups finding it a little more difficult have the best possible chances of surviving always great to have on hand during the first 2/3 weeks so you are prepared for anything.

You can pick these up from our store or we can arrange delivery and collection across South Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

To avoid disappointment please book in advance so we can make sure we have them available for you, perfect time to book is upon confirmation of pregnancy on ultrasound scan.
