Slightly late post but Seonaid and Galileo had a fantastic ride at Sheep Park last weekend when they went up to do the 80km! Galileo traveled brilliantly all day and enjoyed the course as did mum, spot their smiles in the photo! They vetted quickly all day and 10km from home Seonaid took a running slosh and opened up the lead which Galileo held all the way to the finish! A final speed of 13.19kph and a final heart rate of 48!

Foaling this year has shot by and all four of our foals have now safely arrived! Iain admits he's been rather remiss with the photos of them all but we had to share this photo of the latest foal, a beautiful c**t out of Tannasg Maria (Psyches Boy x Fair Destiny) and by the superb connemara stallion TawnyDun Aengus (Templebready Fear Bui x Castleside JJ). With superb bloodlines on both side this lad is an absolute cracking performance horse with the addition of being a beautiful buckskin colour!

This year, we decided to give our riders even more options by introducing both a 66km and a 60km class. The choice was yours, and the entries proved it will be worth us doing this again.

๐Ÿ† Introducing the 66km Class Winner:
A huge round of applause for Kathy Carr, a member of the Leicestershire and Rutland group! You might recognize Kathy as the brilliant mind behind the popular Lion's Tail ride, an annual favorite in September. ๐Ÿฆ

Kathy took the 66km class by storm, riding her up-and-coming superstar, Tannasg Storm, an impressive 8-year-old. This remarkable duo tackled this distance for the first time earlier this season and have been conquering ever since. ๐ŸŒช๏ธ๐Ÿด

We caught up with Kathy to hear her thoughts on this well-deserved win: "It's lovely to end the season on a positive note. This was a very different type of ride, and I was delighted with how well Tannasg Storm coped with all the new sights and sounds! The lush greenery around Milton Keynes was a delightful surprise and made for a fantastic route. Many thanks to the organizers and helpers for keeping everything on track despite all the challenges leading up to the day - broken arms and legs, torrential rain, and more. I can't wait to return next year!"

Kathy wants to give a special shout-out to the breeders of Tannasg Storm, Tannasg Arabians , and their incredible physio who keeps everything running smoothly: Stretch and Flex. ๐Ÿ™Œ

Scottish Championships Day 3 โœ…๏ธ

Today Psyonny and Galileo went out on day 2 of the 2 day 160km looking good. Grainne and Galileo withdrew at the first vet gate as Grainne felt Galileo had done enough. Fionnghuala and Psyonny were unfortunately eliminated at the second vet gate (140km) as Psyonny was slightly lame.

The girls thoroughly enjoyed their ride, and we are so proud of the boys running in tough conditions. They are home and happy and tucking into thier tea!

Iain and Tannasg Adonis and Beth ans Tannasg Lokki rode the 24km pleasure ride, both the baby boys did really well, enjoyed the course and vetted very well!

Scottish Champs Day 1 โœ…๏ธ

Today Iain and Seonaid took the two youngsters round the 20km pleasure ride, and they smashed it!

It was Tannasg Adonis (4-year-old anglo by Tannasg Ansomrob) forst ride and he dis brilliantly, sloshers, traffic, other horses, vetting corraling, all taken in his stride! Adonis represents 3 generations of Tannasg breeding and Iain enjoyed opening the wee bottle of bubbly he won as a yearling when he was the highest scoring endurance futurity entry!

Tannash Lokki (Irish sports horse) cruised round like an old pro, this is his second event and he is loving the endurance game!

Last weekend we had a super time at rhe SERC Sheep Park ride. We took Galileo and Psyonny to compete in the 120km race ride and had a super day! Galileo was sadly eliminated at VG2, Grainne had a sore knee and thinks she unbalanced him but he trotted up sound the next day! Fionnghuala and Psyonny completed the course and came second after a dramatic racing finish! We thoroughly enjoyed our visit north and will definitely be back again!

Cairngorm 75 What A Weekend!!!

This year we took two horses to the Cairngorm 75 mile challenge, Tannasg Psyonny with Seonaid and Tannasg Galileo with Grainne. Also entered was Tannasg Solar Flare with Francis, our horses made up a quarter of the entries!

The boys vetted through very well on Friday, ready for the 5am start on Saturday morning.

5am came round quick and the boys set of with the other 10 horses entered. Once up over the first hill Seonaid and Grainne set a good pace and kept it up for the whole day, leading all the way! At the Invercauld vet check they vetted quickly with heart rates in the 40s and rested very well. They set out in front nice and steady before picking up thier pace again. Francis and Flare caught up and it was the 3 Tannasg boys leading the pack! They worked very well all the way up to the remote vet check at Lock Builg and then on to Tomintoul. At this second hour long vet stop they vetted quickly and at this point were 55 minutes ahead of the next horses.

The three horses set off together and again kept up their super pace across to the Dorback vet check, they just flew over the terrain and thoroughly enjoyed the perfect conditions. Into the Nethy Forest and they picked off the final miles before emerging into Nethy Bridge with happy horses and beaming riders. A quick trot through the village with a crew convoy and then across the line together, we'll over an hour ahead of the rest!

Quick presentations again and all three passed the vetting sound and happy!

We could not be prouder of how the horses ran over a tough course and how much they enjoyed themselves.

On Sunday all three presented for best condition, all the horses who finished the ride looked superb after thier exertions.

Then onto the presentation dinner where Seonaid, Grainne and Francis were awarded beautiful engraved tankards for being first past the post and then it was announced that Seonaid and Psyonny were the over all winners of the event!!

The overall winner of this ride is calculated using the vet scored throughout the ride and at the start and finish as well as finishing position, and this is Psyonnys second win!

We would like to say an enormous thank you to everyone who helped organise ans run this ride, its a truly special event and one that we thoroughly enjoy and we cannot thank everyone involved enough for all thier hard work.

Lots of pictures and videos to come!!
