Thank you for being the best and most supportive customers I could possibly wish for - my little business is now 5 years old and I honestly wouldn’t be here without you all 💕

As with any business there’s been highs and lows but I’m still standing and still pushing through the craziness of self employment - it’s tough out there - I won’t lie. But we keep pushing 🙌🏻

As I’m sure you’re aware my working hours from September are changing to Monday - Friday and I will no longer be working Saturdays.

Alongside these changes, I am also working towards and reviewing my overall service to you all. My whole business is tailored around service and I’m currently looking at what I can do to really push this to a higher level.

I never want to be a ‘in and out’ groomer, I want to be a gentle and relaxed groomer who allows your dog to feel as free and calm as possible in a grooming environment - ultimately a job needs to be done, but happiness is key and as long as your dog is comfortable that’s all I want.

☀️IT MIGHT FINALLY BE HERE 🙌🏻☀️we know the drill but here’s just a few reminders and my salon guidelines:

NO WALKS IN HOT WEATHER- unless you can comfortably hold your hand on the path for 10 seconds - no dog will die for missing a walk, but they might if you take them when it’s too hot!

IF THE SALON GETS TOO WARM, DOGS WILL GO HOME DAMP OR APPOINTMENTS CANCELLED- this is a non-negotiable, I have air con in the salon but if the room gets warm I won’t dry them under a hot drier. They’ll go home comfortable and if they need a tidy up once they’ve dried we’ll arrange this at a cooler time.

MAKE SURE YOUR CARS ARE COOL FOR TRANSPORTING DOGS- please don’t blast air con on your dogs they can’t regulate their body temperature that quickly but please make sure the air is cool enough for them to not over heat before coming in for a groom.

If we get extreme temperatures - grooms will either be moved to early in the morning or cancelled and rearranged. Your dog’s welfare is my number one priority ☀️ but most of all enjoy the sunshine, it might finally be here! ♥️

I’m pretty much fully booked until September now- but I have a cancellation/waitlist for those of you needing something inbetween. I have now released my extra September dates too so everything that is live is all I have available. With this being said, I am going to stop just fitting people in last minute.. I have found myself doubling up on dogs again and in all honesty not the direction I want my business to go. I pride myself on being 121 and want to always give the upmost care and attention to every dog. This isn’t always possible if we have to move things around but I want to keep this as close to my business model as possible.

I would recommend booking at least two appointments in advance at a time (sounds crazy I know) but as I only have one pair of hands and a turnaround of dogs every 6-8 weeks it doesn’t open up much availability.

I love all your dogs and want to be able to give them my undivided attention whilst they are with me. Therefore, I won’t be able to keep saying yes to everyone for much longer 😢 it’s getting really hard to juggle it all and I want to make sure my time and effort is always 100% and not just ok…

I hope this comes across in a positive way as I only want to deliver the best service I can to you all ♥️

This might be the face of someone who has annual leave in a week and I’m just a little bit excited! ☀️ I’m ready for a recharge and hopefully some sunshine 🙌🏻

I will be working through my messages tonight and getting back to those of you waiting for a response. I have also collated a list of everyone waiting to hear back about dates in July/August and I’ll get back to you asap with these!

September dates are still TBC as I’m waiting to hear when Reception start school and then I can plan around this and unlock the days I’ve blocked off.

I will always do my best to find a slot for everyone so please bear with me and I’ll find you something. I’ve got lists of everyone waiting so I promise to get back to you as soon as I can. 8am - 22nd June
8am - 6th July
1:30pm - 9th July (short haired breed or teeth clean only)
10:30 am - 27th July
8am - 3rd August
8am - 31st August

Ping me a message if you can’t see the slot you want as ‘available’ as sometimes the time slot showing is a bit too short in length to the allocated breed grooming time. If your dog takes less that 2 hours usually I can get them booked in for you :)

Hey all!

I’m still working on some more dates for August so as soon as I can confirm these I will! 🙌🏻☀️

September and half of October is now live! (I have temporarily blocked out the first two weeks of September as I’m not sure when Reception starts school so this will be unlocked once I know)

There’s no need to rush booking Sept/Oct dates but as mentioned previously I won’t be working weekends so will only have Monday - Friday available 09:30- 2:45 - I will always do my best to support with appointments but I will be a lot stricter (with myself) on times so I might not be able to offer something instantly - but I’ll always do my best for you! 🐶 thanks Charlie x

I get asked a lot about how often a dog should be groomed, these are the recommended guidelines on different breeds. Usually anything over this timescale is pushing on being over grown or matted/knotty unless brushed daily. If anyone wishes to amend their grooming schedule, feel free to ping me a message and we’ll try and get something put in place to help with that ☺️

‼️ BUSINESS UPDATE ‼️

From September 2024 my business hours are changing, I will sadly no longer be offering Saturdays as a working day. I will now be working Monday - Friday 09:30am - 2:30pm.

Now this doesn’t mean I won’t be working the odd Saturday - for example Christmas or School Holidays - so there may still be availability at certain times of the year.

But my not so little 4 year old is starting school in September and in all honesty I want to be around as much as I can when she’s at home. They really do say you blink and time flies!

I appreciate this is a massive change and I will always do my best to accommodate everyone, if you have any questions or concerns please message me ♥️ thanks Charlie x

And then….it’s time to say GOODBYE 😭 these two are off to start a new adventure, I’m so sad to see them go and have loved every minute of being around them! ♥️ have the best time Barney and Tilly! If I could plan in and drive 7 hours to come and groom you every few months, I would 😉 Your new dog groomer is so lucky to be getting two amazing pups to pamper! and with that a lovely family to meet too!- love you both lots and enjoy the seaside!
