We are having fun with trial stays here at Nanuq's Nest, if you have a nervous pupper, we can work with you to build your dog up to an overnight stay with some day visits.

Regardless, we we always recommend a trial stay before confirming any bookings to make sure it's right for both us and your floof.

Sorry we have been quiet here, we've now got our licence! Whoop.

We've started to get some lovely visitors and Tokala and Uki are loving making new friends.

Our first pair came to stay for their trial and we cannot wait to see them again!

It's nearly Christmas Day and we are all getting ready for celebrations.

It's a time for celebrations, delicious food, family gatherings and of course presents. However, in all the joy, laughter and happiness there are lots of dangers for our pets.

If you think your pet could have been exposed to anything toxic or dangerous, give your vet a call right away and they will be able to advise a course of action!

I have had so much fun meeting dogs over the last couple of weeks! These are my last gorgeous future guests, who were absolutely lovely!

At Nanuqs Nest we welcome dogs that might need some extra or care due to illness, reactivity or any other issues. If you want your dogs to mix with the resident dogs, we can manage a bespoke plan, such as slow intros to resident dogs or keeping entirely separate while staying at my home.

Not all dogs get on, some dogs have a history and some dogs are just a little stranger than others 🤣 (looking at this video, I own the latter!)

This is Tokala meeting some visiting dogs through the patio doors, we are taking our introductions slowly and this was the first step.

When you visit, I may or may not introduce the dogs, I may recommend multiple visits or off property walks or that we keep the dogs separately - I am lucky enough to have a home that means I can rotate dogs so that everyone gets cosy sof snuggles while not interacting with resident dogs - they can even have their own entrance and exit!

So, following on from my last post, introducing the next residents of Loch Cottage, my goats, calm friendly and provide me with beautiful milk everyday.

From front to back, we have Cici - The baby, she is a very spunky little madam looking forward to seeing her grow up. Polly - the boss off the group, I think of her as the duchess, beautifully behaved and a true lady and finally Squeezy- she is the trouble maker and beggar of treats 🤣 a lovely girl who adores a chin scratch, squeezy will be a new mama hopefully next year 😀

So, while you all await an update on fencing, which is sadly a little delayed (but not too much!) I thought I'd give you some introductions to some other residents at Loch Cottage, and don't worry the fencing going up gives them their own puppy proof areas 😁

So first the ponies. Arthur is my unicorn and angel, he moved up to Aberdeenshire with me and I plan on bringing him back into work shortly (he has had a year off through no fault of his own) and must admit he is incredibly handsome 😁 and my pocket rocket Percival, he joined us earlier in the year and has been a little project as was untouchable but he is coming along very nicely.

I hope you are all enjoying the glorious weather just don't forget to keep and eye on your floofs in this weather 🥰

My female husky is a husky non husky who loves to sunbathe BUT she can over do it so although they have free access to the garden unless the weather is horrible (and even then they can go out whenever they ask) I have to keep an eye on her to remind her that when she starts panting she should come out of the sun 🤣

Winter is when my dogs truly come into their own, their energy picks up and they like to keep busy.

How do your babies enjoy the weather, do they have a favourite? 😍

It's been a bit of a busy week with my parents and their floof coming for a visit, and tonight we had 3 more visitors (and 1 human), when I say your floofs will be a member of the family I mean it...only the red husky in this pic is mine...sensibly the 2 female dogs are snoozing away from the boys time.

Tokala is a wonderful boy and so extremely well behaved for his age, however as a youngster this weekend on our walk got a little excited and knocked me flat on my face 🤣 no harm done, however a little more attention on where his feet are by his mum are needed!

My inspiration, my reason for everything I do, including starting with dog boarding. Starting with Nanuq, my heart and soul dog, the one and only.
Ebony, my princess, the floffiest floof ever.
Uki, my non husky husky, so quiet and so cuddly
Tokala, sent by Nanuq, full of young beans everything is an adventure

Sadly Nanuq and Ebony are no longer with me, but we're the driving force for my move to Scotland and my need to work with dogs. The will forever be in my heart and beside me on all life's journeys
