Indie and Saphie Many of you know what a fabulous mum Indie was to 20 healthy, beautiful puppies with superb temperaments. Now it's her daughters turn! Stay tuned!

Saphie will be 3 years old when she mates with the stunning show labrador 'Gylly' in Jan / Feb 2025. Saphie is the beautiful daughter of Indie's first litter who stayed with us and has grown up with her mum by her side. She will be 3 years old when she meets up again with the carefully selected stud dog 'Gylly' in January / February 2025 to mate. It's so important to meet up and see the potential

stud dog with the mum-to-be before the hormones kick in. I can honestly say that Gylly is a bundle of friendliness, both towards me and Saphie in the same way that 'Blue' was towards myself and Indie when we first met. Furthermore, I and the stud dog owners had identical principles about breeding - check the health scores. the KC breeding history, the temperaments of the dogs whilst subtly making sure we were putting the welfare of our own dogs (and any puppies that come along during the process) as the priority. Let's talk about temperaments. Saphie doesn't bark at the door or when she sees other people and dogs walking past the window. She really is incredibly chilled and relaxed and is absolutely fine being left for 4 to 5 hours at a time. She has never had a fight or found herself in any kind of trouble with other dogs. She has a strong personality who is very up for robust play but if a Dachshund snaps at her she's quick to walk away! Gylly was inside when we arrived in the garden for our pre-mating meet up. He was very excited to meet a potential mate at the peak of fertility but alas, he was somewhat disappointed when he joined us in the garden to find Saphie was not laden with mating hormones! Nonetheless, he gave her plenty of kisses and was delighted to meet her with a real energy. And he was the same with me, snuggling in for some love and attention, a really happy and gentle soul who was just over the moon to meet new dogs and new people. Just like her mum Indie, Saphie carries the most beautiful traits both inside and out and that's why I decided to breed with her. As a third time dog breeder, I've done all the recommended Kennel Club DNA tests (all clear), BVA eye test (clear) and hip and elbow tests. Her hip scores are 6/6 and elbows 0/0. I've also been meticulous in choosing the right stud dog (and owner) to ensure all of his traits are equally as superb as Saphie's. I am truly blessed that these loving and gentle souls choose to snuggle up with me at every single moment that they can find.

Indie's daughter, Saphie, will be off to meet one of the potential stud dogs for her this Sunday. I've decided (once again!) to go with whichever stud has the best temperament That's what was so special about Indie and Blue creating those 20 gorgeous dogs from their 2 litters together,

Deciding to take the leap to have puppies with Indie (as it is with Saphie) is as much about the lovely nature of mum and dad as it is about great health test scores. Providing that Saphie is willing, I hope to be able offer the next generation of Indie's puppies (her daughters puppies!) to you in Spring 2025 😁

I am so proud of Indie, Saphie and all of the puppies I have bred. They truly are the best natured, gentle, sociable and loving dogs you could ever hope to meet,

Today is Indie's 5th birthday! Time is flying by so fast and I can't stop it. All I can do is express my boundless love to the most gorgeous girl in the world every minute of every day that I can. Make sure you do the same for your 4 legged friends.

I am truly delighted to report that the last puppy has found his forever home at long last. It's a very bitter-sweet moment for me, Indie and Saphie as we've all grown to love him so much since his last sibling left. Thanks to everyone who has shared many of my posts to find all 12 pups a home. It's over and out from Indie as she's had two litters now, but maybe her daughter Saphie will have a litter of fabulous pups early 2025 too!

Dogs who are loved are not breeding machines. The Kennel Club allow a mum (=Dam) to have 4 litters. I have seen many dog breeders put their dogs through back-to-back litters (meaning that they have another litter straight after their previous litter) and so the Mum (Dam) doesn't have any time to fully recover from having the previous litter. 4 litters in 4 years is just wrong.

Indie had 2 years between her 2 litters and she will never have a third or a fourth litter. That's simply because it's too much. Please be very careful when you buy a puppy and check the Kennel Club registry for profit-orientated breeding before buying. Avoid any puppies from a litter born within a 12 month time frame of the previous litter.

Having a 5 Star Council Breeders License or a Kennel Club Assured Breeders Certificate does not mean these dog breeders follow the same rules as I. Loved pets first, and always first.
