Good morning !! Our last working day over the Christmas period will be the 22nd Dec we will reopen again on the 6th of January, we have plenty of availability throughout December

In the new year there will be lots of changes, so keep those eyes p*eled! All good of course January diary is now open so if you'd like to take advantage of booking your whole year grooming spots please email me, this applies to old clients only. No deposit required for full year booking

New clients must book in advance using the deposit and booking system until we agree otherwise !

Some really exciting news coming for the new year, but for now here's some cute pups !! The ones that were Facebook worthy anyhow, sadly there were some complete shave downs today😪😪😪😭😭😭😭😬😬😬

Which i hate posting about, its not always possible to keep up on your dogs grooming schedule for one reason or another, but if you're struggling please shout, we are here to help.

As winter well and truly sets in, that long luscious coat isn't always the most practical it was during summer months, message us for hints and tips on keeping that coat tip top, we even offer grooming tutorials too! Just popped us a message 🐕🐕🐕🐕

Anxiety trigger for almost all groomers that we never talk about.🐾
The dreaded question...how long will this take.
45 minutes to 4 plus hours 🤷‍♀️
Scenario
You have a 10 am for Fluff Butt cutie pants.
You come in we talk and if all goes well you pick up Fluff Butt around 12:30... in the mean time... we wash fluff butt and get him drying and the noon appointment shows up at 11:15 so you stop to check them in and chat. You come back to and Fluff Butt has p*ed a river and and is covered in p**p and p*e. So the new dog is put up and Fluff butt is pulled out for another bath. You start bathing and you are covered in soap and someone comes in.
The person to pick up their dog that was ready at 10:30 is here.
You chit chat check them out but you can't start your noon because you have to start over on Fluff.
You are almost done with fluff and the owners call to see why it is taking so long.
All your concentration is on Fluff now.
Your Noon is still not started and you have another dog coming in soon.
You are full of anxiety and rushing which will cause you to send out a bad groom.
Then the phone rings....
Lastly in walks in a dog that isn't matted according to the owner he gets there and welp matted and very territorial of personal space so you have to spend 10 minutes coaxing him out a kennel.
See how this can snowball quick.

I promise we never are trying to keep your dog longer than they should be here.
Nothing happened today but it does every week.
I have heard lots of complaints about my last groomer kept them all day.
Even in the best run grooming salon it happens.
The variables are great.
I promise I will let you know if we have an issue and when they are ready :)

As a member of the pet industry federation we are constantly striving to learn new things increase knowledge and stay up to date with welfare information, an interesting topic popped up on tonight's reading ..
The UK Government has unveiled a new, comprehensive roadmap to accelerate the phasing out of animal testing, supported by £75 million in funding for alternative methods like organ-on-a-chip systems and AI-driven analysis.



This initiative marks a great step forward for the animal sector and the pet industry, aligning scientific innovation with welfare commitments. Specific targets include ending regulatory tests for skin and eye irritation on animals by the end of 2026, helping ensure the UK remains a global leader in ethical research.

This is a huge step forward, and what progress 👏 🙌
