Hooe Hounds runs regularly runs 6-week puppy classes at the Staddy Social Club in Plymouth.

We will be starting another 6-week puppy course at the end of June. The classes are held at the Staddy and are run by two very experienced trainers who aim to make the classes informative, useful and fun. Hooe Hounds is running a new puppy course starting on Sunday, May 14th at the Staddy. The course runs for six weeks and all vaccinated puppies are invited to bring their owners along! Having said that, we keep the class numbers small so that you are guaranteed lots of individual help from the two trainers. During the class we teach you how to train your puppy to sit, lie down, stand, stay, wait, leave as well as recall and loose lead walking. We also play some games to strengthen the bond between you and your puppy and in turn, these games have a knock-on effect for recall and walking on a lead. It is also a great opportunity for your puppy to meet new people and dogs in a safe environment, but please note that we do not let the puppies off their leads in the classes.
If you register and pay before May 7th, you are entitled to the early bird price of £90 for the six weeks.

Our next 6-week puppy course at the Staddy starts on Sunday, March 12th. There will, however, be no class on Easter Sunday. During the classes which are run by two trainers to guarantee maximum support and individual attention you will learn how to train your puppy to: sit, lie down, stand, stay, wait at the door, leave, watch, come when called and walk nicely on a loose lead. We also play some games which strengthen the bond between you and your dog and also have a positive knock-on effect for both recall and loose lead walking.
