First adoptions of 2025!!

April and petunia were adopted today! They were adopted into the most wonderful family who spent so much time and efforts into building enriching and massive custom enclosures for them!

Both lived in 2ft rubs without any enrichment for 6-8 years before coming to the rescue. It is so amazing that they finally get to live the life they always deserved. They will be so loved ❤️

Gaia is searching for her forever home!

Gaia loves to climb and bask under her UVB! She is a typical boa and can be a bit hissy at times, but is well behaved during handling sessions!

We rescued gaia from a cohabiting situation a few years ago and after she was rehabilitated she was adopted into a wonderful home with .exotics who has loved and adored her for the past few years. Unfortunately, due to a change in circumstances and Gaia outgrowing her vivarium- she is up for adoption.

As the rescue is currently full, she is staying with her current family in County Durham until she is either adopted or we have space to take her back in here!

She can be adopted from her current location, the rescues location and couriers can be arranged depending on the applicant. She can also be transported to her adopters depending on distance and if fuel costs are covered.

Please pop us a message if you can offer Gaia a wonderful forever home ❤️

New rescue: Meet Milo the 3 year old, male, African fat tailed gecko.

Milo was an emergency intake due to his condition. He is extremely stunted for his age and is emaciated. His organs are inflamed and he has the beginning of metabolic bone disease in his jaw.

After a reptiboost bath, along with some critical care, he has perked up

As seen in a previous rescue called cherub ( who has since been adopted and is so loved) sometimes metabolic bone disease can be reversed as they grow.

As always, we will try our hardest to save and rehabilitate this sweet baby ❤️

It is so wonderful watching snakes experience UVB for the first time!
Norman was kept in a rub with no enrichment for 8 years. He is now in a vivarium with UVB and climbing opportunities and it is amazing to see how he is interacting in his environment!

He absolutely loves basking under his UVB and we often find him here!
Although UVB is not necessary for royal pythons survival as it is with other reptile species such as tortoises or bearded dragons- it is incredibly beneficial to them! We give all of our snakes UVB here and they all utilize it ❤️

The market for Royal pythons is incredibly oversaturated and overwhelmed with individuals looking for homes- and there just aren't enough homes for them!

Out of all the reptile species, we have rescued royal pythons the most; and have rescued animals directly from breeders multiple times. Animals we have rescued from breeders are often in the worst condition.

Most breeders keep their royals in barren racking systems with no enrichment or lighting; leaving them cramped and in the dark for years. This can have devastating effects on the animals mental and physical wellbeing. They are often overweight due to the lack of space, and nervous/ defensive because the only form of enrichment they get is being fed.
These enclosures ( if you can even call them that) resemble solitary confinement prison cells; and we know what that does to a person. Yet we keep innocent animals in them for years.

These beautiful animals that can live 40+ years deserve enriching lives where they can fully spread out and explore. Not left in a rack their whole life.

Over breeding has led to horrific health conditions in these animals, which is just getting more and more common. From neurological issues to physical defects. These animals live lower quality lives and often have to be euthanized as they deteriorate. They are only bred for monetary gain and aesthetics. It his highly immortal and unethical.

More often than not, royal pythons are neglected- either on purpose or due to a lack of education and ignorance. They deserve better ❤️

Our job is to protect these animals, not exploit them for personal gain. If you are considering breeding royal pythons, please don't!

Please consider adopting from an ethical rescue rather than support breeding! Rescues have amazing animals who are desperate for loving forever homes ❤️
