Please note: we are not currently taking on any new clients. We offer dog walking, cat visits and small animal visits.

We have been running as a business since October 2015 and are very proud to say we still have many of our original clients. Whatever the weather you will find us out in the open air - come rain or shine, or even snow! We both love working with dogs and cats, and array of other furry, and some not so furry, friends. Each pet is individual and they all have different needs, so we take the time to ge

t to know each pet and they are all treated as if they were our own pets. We are licensed home boarders (Torfaen Licence AEL0039). Please note: we only home board our own clients dogs.

Charlie, Kobe, Snoops and Buddy enjoyed a gentle walk around the British, it was a slow walk as there were lots of scents to investigate.

While Raffy and Maple had playtime, Monty and Humphrey enjoyed their quiet time and sniffed. They all cooled off in the river. Raffy, Maple and Monty went in up to their bellies but Humphrey will only ever dip his paws.

Sadly after Stitch passed away Bits was a solo dog at home 🥲, she’s now been joined by Brian who I had the pleasure of meeting and taking for a walk today - he’s just adorable 😍. Poor Bits was very disappointed when we didn’t get in the car for her to come over to our house 😂.

Humphrey, Monty, Raffy and Maple obviously missed one another as they were very excited to walk together. Humphrey and Monty took a laid back walk and did lots of sniffing, whereas I had to separate Raffy and Maple a few times otherwise they would have played for the whole walk.

After taking ages to sniff their way along the path Monty, Maple, Humphrey and Raffy had a good walk with the usual amount of chaos 😂. Monty and Humphrey steer clear of Raffy and Maple so they can enjoy sniffing while Raffy and Maple play.

A quick chase down hill 🤨

When you sit down to have a quiet (as if 😂) cup of coffee. Humphrey was sat on my lap while Snoops, Charlie, Maple and Kobe had 5 minutes of madness. Thank goodness we live in a detached house 😬.

Raffy ‘singing’ with excitement as we drove to the walk (I wasn’t driving). On his first walk either me he was a bit nervous about going in the car, as you can see he’s settled into it very quickly 😁.

This was from this morning, we were just going out to work (we hadn’t even got off the drive) and the indoor camera notifications were going off. This is why the living room cushions, throws, sofa cushions were on the floor 😂😂😂. Snoops, Charlie and Sky exhausted themselves and were sound asleep 5 minutes later.

It continued into play 😆

We were attempting to have a quiet coffee before heading out for the afternoon walk 😂

Humphrey and Bentley stood still while Monty, Llew and Cocoa had a bit of a run (Monty mostly barked 😂).

Daisy was determined to get the stick, she gave up in the end 😂.

Our Story

After working for over 20 years in our chosen careers, and living in Bristol, we needed a change and started volunteering at the weekends as dog walkers for the RSPCA. As volunteers we walked dogs of all shapes and sizes and temperaments – this was a great experience and taught us a lot about dogs and their behaviour. In December 2014 Gary and I changed our lives and moved from Bristol to Talywain – a great move for us, and our adopted rescue dog (Bruno). In 2015 I (Michelle) started working as a dog walker/pet carer. In October 2015 I became a franchisee and ran my own business. In April 2016 Gary joined the business. In January 2020 we left our franchise and became independent, with the wonderful support of all of our clients.

Why the name ‘Bruno’s Pet Care’? We adopted Bruno in 2013 after he spent 3 plus years in kennels and he changed our lives forever. He has his issues (wouldn’t we all after 3 years in kennels?!) but he is a special boy and we wouldn't be where we are today without him. Whatever the weather you will find us out in the open air - come rain or shine, or even snow! We both love working with dogs and cats, and an array of other furry, and some not so furry, friends. Walking clients dogs when their owners are unable to is a great privilege, one which we both enjoy immensely. It is wonderful to be trusted with peoples pets when they go away, and each and every single one is treated as if it was our own - and spoiled just as much as our boy.
