One of the biggest and best safari parks in the UK, Knowsley Safari Park has a 5-mile safari drive with lions, white rhino and our infamous troop of baboons. The park also has a large walk-around area, offering close-up views of

giraffe, tigers, meerkats and many more animals. The park is open daily from mid-February until November, and remains open weekends only throughout the winter. 🎉 Happy 7th Birthday, Makari! 🐯🎈

Our handsome Amur tiger Makari turns seven today! Since joining us here at Knowsley Safari Makari has shown he’s got a big heart (and paws). He might be a little less feisty than Yuki, but don’t underestimate him - this giant cat is the perfect counterpart to our queen. 👑

As an endangered Amur tiger, Makari is as rare and special as they come. Here’s to many more years of roaring and ruling Tiger Trail! 🎂💥

🎉 It’s Yuki’s Birthday! 🐯💖

Our gorgeous Amur tiger turns 6 today, and what a queen she is! 👑 Since arriving in January, Yuki has made herself right at home. She’s feisty, fearless, and never afraid to stand her ground (even if Makari is a lot bigger 😼).
The pair get on brilliantly - but make no mistake, Yuki’s the boss! 💥

Amur tigers are incredibly rare and endangered, so she’s not just fabulous, she’s one of a kind. 💛

🦉 Wildlife Wednesday: Two Tawny Owls Saved from a Hairy Situation! 🦉

Meet our newest little wildlife guests - two tawny owl chicks who found themselves in a very unusual and risky spot… the baboon enclosure! 😬

Their mum had made her nest there, but as they began venturing out, things got a bit too dangerous. Our incredible carnivore keepers swooped in to rescue them and passed them into the expert hands of our researcher, Sophie, who ensured they were safe, calm, and cared for.

They’re now in the best possible place at where they’ve settled into an outdoor aviary and have already started practicing their flying skills!

Sometimes nature picks the wrong postcode, but with teamwork and quick thinking, these two have a second chance at life in the wild. 💚

A huge thank you to Lower Moss Wood Wildlife Hospital for taking them in. Be sure to check out their incredible work rescuing and rehabilitating British wildlife! 🦊🦔🦉

Adventure Calls at Knowsley Safari

Opened in 1971, Knowsley Safari is now in its 44th year. One of the biggest and best safari parks in the UK, Knowsley Safari Park has a 5-mile safari drive with lions, camel, white rhino and our cheeky troop of olive baboons. (Remember to take the car friendly route if you want to avoid those naughty monkeys) The park also has a large walk-around area, offering close-up views of giraffe, meerkats, tapirs and now our brand new Amur Tiger Trail! If you haven’t got a car, don’t worry, you can still enjoy this fantastic walk around area or hop on the baboon bus for a guided tour of the safari drive. The park is open daily but please visit our website www.knowsleysafariexperience.co.uk for more details on our opening times. Plus here you’ll find out when our fantastic animal displays are.
