Warmly welcoming visitors for over 50 years. A stunning five mile safari drive, foot safari, events and talks on a wide variety of animals.

Our 550-acre drive-through safari is home to many animals from around the world. Opened in 1971, Knowsley Safari is now in its 50th year. One of the biggest and best safari parks in the UK, Knowsley Safari Park has a 5-mile safari drive with lions, white rhino and our infamous troop of baboons. The park also has a large walk-around area, offering close-up views of giraffe, tigers, meerkats and man

y more animals. The park is open daily from mid-February until November, and remains open weekends only throughout the winter. 📣✨🐫 A New Home for Wild Camels this

In September, our vet Jen supported a crucial Wild Camels effort, relocating seven genetically distinct wild camels to the Toli Bulag Reserve!

Why is this important? With fewer than 1,000 wild camels left, this second group:
🌍 Prevents inbreeding
🌿 Acts as a safeguard in case of disease

⚠️🌬️ Due to Storm Darragh we’ll be closing both the Safari and Enchanted tomorrow (Saturday 7th) for the safety of our guests, staff, and animals.

Each Andean bear has its own unique look, with whitish facial markings around their eyes that often resemble spectacles - earning them their other name of the "spectacled bear" 🐻

Adventure Calls at Knowsley Safari

Opened in 1971, Knowsley Safari is now in its 44th year. One of the biggest and best safari parks in the UK, Knowsley Safari Park has a 5-mile safari drive with lions, camel, white rhino and our cheeky troop of olive baboons. (Remember to take the car friendly route if you want to avoid those naughty monkeys) The park also has a large walk-around area, offering close-up views of giraffe, meerkats, tapirs and now our brand new Amur Tiger Trail! If you haven’t got a car, don’t worry, you can still enjoy this fantastic walk around area or hop on the baboon bus for a guided tour of the safari drive. The park is open daily but please visit our website www.knowsleysafariexperience.co.uk for more details on our opening times. Plus here you’ll find out when our fantastic animal displays are.
