Feathers & Fluff Pet Boarding Boarding for Chickens, Rabbits, Guinea Pigs, Ducks, Hamsters, Rats, Mice, Gerbils and Budgies. Please see the ‘Services’ section for options and prices.

Feathers & Fluff Pet Boarding is a small, family run ‘Home from Home’ small animal boarding business which we run from our own home in Weeton Village, Lancashire (between Preston & Blackpool). We provide high quality, reliable boarding for your Rabbits, Guinea Pigs, Chickens, Ducks, Hamsters, Rats, Mice, Gerbils and Budgies (other animals may be considered, please just ask). We are now also taking

bookings for home/ yard visits (cat sitting, horse sitting and chicken visits) Other animals may be considered, please just ask. We are open most days between 9am and 6.30pm, so we can schedule drop-off and collection times to suit you (subject to our own family commitments). If you would like come and have a look at our facilities before making a booking please message or ring and we would be happy to show you around. We highly recommend that your Rabbits are up to date with worming and vaccinations, please consult with your vet before boarding. All Chickens, Ducks, Rabbits and Guinea Pigs will stay outside in our garden. Hamsters, Rats, Mice, Gerbils and Budgies will stay in our family home. Appropriate clean cages must be provided. Please see the ‘Services’ section for conditions and prices. Pets can be provided with fresh fruit and vegetables (vegetables will be from our vegetable patch if it’s the appropriate time of year) please let us know of any preference on or before arrival. You will be asked to fill out one of our booking forms, these can be emailed to you to be completed prior drop off and brought with you or completed when you drop off. Unfortunately we cannot accept cockerels. We take a £10 non-refundable deposit on booking, the rest of the balance is due on or before drop-off. (Cash, cheque or BACS Payments only)

As the cases of avian influenza rise please be aware that if we end up in avian lockdown again I will not be able to board any birds.

If you have already booked in please have someone available to care for your birds at home ‘just in case’ 🐓🦆 🦜

I’m really hoping it doesn’t come to this but please do have other options ready just in case it happens!! (And please be aware you can’t move birds if we are in a ‘lockdown’)

Just seen this video posted by @eggs_and_fluff. I wanted to share this post to show the importance of lice management in chickens 🐓 - it can get to this point pretty fast if you’re not aware!!! Personally I use ivermectin drops and smite powder.
