Spirit is our cute and cuddly Staffordshire Bull Terrier who is looking for her forever home, She absolutely loves whatever fuss that she can get from whoever she meets, she happily greets anybody she meets and is very tolerant of being handled when necessary.

Being on the smaller side, Spirit much prefers to act like a lapdog and sitting on the sofa while receiving some attention, however this doesn't mean she doesn't get her zoomies when out and about! As Spirit gets on with just about everyone, we think she could be rehomed with children of any age as long as they know to be calm around her when things get a little too noisy, In regards to other dogs, whilst she can be a polite greeter, she seems to much prefer her own space most of the time so because of this she needs to be the only dog in the home, however this could change once we've conducted more dog meets.

Spirit doesn't like to be alone for too long, and thrives off cuddles, so she will benefit most from a family that wont leave her for long periods and will give her the love she needs!

Spirit shows an interest in playing but still is yet to truly show her personality so despite being a bit reserved currently, we think she will bloom into a much more playful dog in the home environment. Spirit also knows a few commands such as Sit, and Stay, she also walks very well on lead and is easy to keep her attention.

🔵 I AM ON TEMP HOLD🔵

Meet 1 year old Zorro. Zorro is our beautiful black and white domestic shorthair.

Zorro came to us after his previous owner left him to go abroad. After only being with us a short time, it is clear that Zorro isn’t enjoying cattery life too much. It seems he is a fellow who will very much enjoy his home comforts.

Zorro will happily be in the company of people and loves a bit of fuss and gentle affection; however, this has to be on his own terms. At the moment, Zorro does like to lie in his bed a lot, although this may change when he out of the cattery and in the home environment.

Although Zorro likes human interaction, he doesn’t like being handled too much. He will tolerate being picked and groomed for a short period, but will surely let you know when he’s had enough.
At the moment, Zorro doesn’t really seem keen on playing with toys, but again, once settled in the home, this could change.
Zorro is also litter trained and is quickly learning how to use his cat flap.

Zorro isn’t keen on other cats or animals and would really prefer to be the only pet in the home. Zorro could be rehomed with cat savvy children aged 14 and over.

🟢I AM AVAILABLE🟢

Holly is our Sassy but sweet Black and White 3 Year-Old Domestic Short Hair.

Holly came into RSPCA care after her owner no longer cope, Holly didn't arrive in the best condition as she had lost a lot of fur due to a reaction to fleas but she's certainly on the recovery now. Holly's fur is growing back nicely and she's showing so much improvement already in such a short period of time.

Holly was struggling with the cattery life so we placed his in a lovely foster home, since being in foster Holly has flourished and really enjoyed being around her foster pawrents. Holly is definitely a peoples cat :)

Holly loves humans and wants to spend most of her time with you! She is a little shadow and will follow you everywhere, her favourite past time is to be cuddled up either in-between her people or on your lap. She will sleep all through the night on the bed. She is like the mum of the home, she is very passionate about taking care of her humans and will give your arms or face a daily groom.

Holly loves a cuddle and thrives of affection from her humans. Holly isn't too keen on being picked up so this is something her new adopters must respect of Holly unless its absolute necessary.

As much as Holly is a really sweet girl do not let her fool you, she does have a sassy side. Holly is looking for a home where she is the only pet. Holly doesn't enjoy the company cats or dogs and this is something that worries her. Holly can live with children the age of 5+

Geraldine is our Beautiful Calico 4 year old Girl

Geraldine came into RSPCA Care after she had been abandoned, but this gentle soul hasn't let this phase her as she's got a lot of love to give and once she has a bond with you, she will form a beautiful relationship.

Geraldine needs a home where she can take herself for quiet time especially during the settling in period. Although since her arrival she's gradually grown in confidence and is showing more of her personality everyday

Geraldine is looking for a home where she is the only pet, as Geraldine likes her own space. Although she may be able to live with small furries/pets dependant on their accommodation in the home.

Once Geraldine has become accustomed to you she is a serial cuddler and she enjoys a good old head scratch, gentle back strokes and lots of positive talking for her reassurance.

Geraldine appreciates her nap times and settles well in her pod with her comfies. She is gradually welcoming grooming sessions so long as it is slow and gentle with lots of treats! In time, she will gain confidence with this, the more positive sessions she has, the more likely it will be something she favourite's.

She is litter trained and will use the cat flap

Geraldine can live with children 5+ that are cat savvy and understand when Geraldine needs space or time to take herself off and snooze.

Smithy is Our Sweet 2 Year-old Tabby

Smithy was brought to the RSPCA after being found by a member of public as a stray, unfortunately Smithy had a few wounds but he's now fully recovered. When Smithy came to the centre he was completely shut down and he wouldn’t come out of his hidey bed at all so we made the decision to put him in foster.

Since Smithy has been in foster with his foster mum Amanda, he’s completely come out of his shell and warmed to the quiet environment very very quickly.

Considering Smithy was a stray he has soon become a huge fan of loves and attention. He responds when called and comes to see where you are and to get his head rubs which then turn into him rolling on the floor to show his belly to get them extra fun belly rubs. When he gets a head rub he nuzzles his head into your hand and breaths deep which seems to sooth him even more.

Smithy is not extra vocal but does enjoy a little meow here and there especially when it's time for wet food or treats. His Purrs however when getting his lovies seem to come straight from deep within his soul and are so heart warming you will never want them to stop.

Smithy is becoming more and more a house cat and he enjoys a zoomie now and then, Smithy loves playing with all his toys even just a simple empty toilet roll but he will not overplay he has his 5 minutes and then wants to have lovies and a nap.

When it comes to being handled, Smithy is as easy as they come he has no issue being picked up and is staying still for longer periods even when being picked up and cradled like a baby he will let you do it without any issues but will want down after a little. That time is getting longer each day. He will follow you to the toilet and come and find you if he can't see you for a long time to make sure you know he is there but he is not pushy in doing so and doesn't get in the way of what you are doing.

Smithy is looking for a quiet home with children 14+ that are cat savvy and understand when Smithy needs space especially whilst settling in. Smithy is looking to be the only pet in the home

🧡A little Toffee Update🧡

Toffee has been with us since August 2024, Unfortunately Toffee was struggling with a few health issues as well as the cattery environment.

Toffee has been cleared by the vet and now doing extremely well, Toffee has been in foster since December with our fosterer Lauren and he's settled in so well enjoying a quieter and calmer environment 🐱

Toffee is a vocal boy and likes to let his foster mum know when he's hungry or wanting some fuss. But Mr Toffee is still awaiting for his forever home and he's had very little interest.

❤A Beautiful Foster Update❤

Tank has been in foster for nearly a month now with our wonderful fosterers Gem and Natalie - Last week they treat him to a bath at the Groomers and it's safe to say he loved it. He's looking beautiful and smells divine.

We can't thank our fosterers enough for all their hard work and dedications to their foster animals. They really do go above and beyond

Moose enjoyed a wonderful winter walk with our Volunteer Ken at Beacon Fell last weekend, Moose loves a good adventure and certainly loves to take in all the sniffs 🐶

This wonderful boy is still looking for his forever home, Moose is looking for an active family that love to go on long walks and adventures and then snuggle up on the sofa for a good cuddle at the end of the day ❤

🥰ADOPTION UPDATE🥰

Pip was adopted by her new family a couple of months ago and I think it’s safe to say that she has settled in really well!

She’s being treated like the little queen she is and we couldn’t be happier for her! We love seeing the updates we get from new families!
