Claud's Companion's started in February 2021. Due to the pandemic, work lifestyles have had to change a lot for myself, as well as many others. Before, I was a trainee supervisor in Hospitality, and was working towards getting my first aid training on the side and on the path to working as a Special Constable. Yes, very big change indeed!
Before lockdown - sadly our boy Louis was put to rest, and this left our little Jockie Boy very lonely and almost lost his wee spark. Having him around some of the Dogs I have met/walked has been brilliant for him, as he is slowly but surely getting his confidence back and making friends. A Dog who wasn't interested in ball's or the sea... now doesn't go anywhere without a ball in his mouth! & tiptoes into the water π
Throughout the pandemic - I have learnt a lot about myself, and have been a much more active person within the outdoors. I first joined PFSS (pet foster Scotland) and made a profile on 'BorrowMyDoggy'. As I wanted to help vulnerable pets/look after them during tough circumstances, especially with lockdown. People who have bought their pets and want them to have more socialising with other people & dogs. After my involvement with these, it made me thrive more on the idea of exploring the Dog Walking Business. I have been around Dogs all my life and love them to bits! BorrowMYDoggy has been excellent as it allowed me to meet all types of Dogs and lovely locals in NB.
Something that started out as Voluntary, and an interest has built more and more over the past month which has been fantastic and I cant thank our locals enough for providing me with Dog supplies to get up and running. β
