Bring your dog to Dobbies’ Ayr store for a paw-sitively magical experience with Santa

Dobbies, the UK's leading garden centre, is announcing the return of its hugely popular Santa Paws experience in its Ayr store, designed for dog lovers where cherished pets can meet Santa Claus at his grotto.

This paw-sitively special festive experience gives pup parents the chance to head along to Dobbies’ Ayr store and see Santa. Dogs in attendance will get to meet Mr Claus and take a photo, before receiving a special pet-friendly toy to take home and open on Christmas Day. There’s also the chance to have a professional photo taken.

Santa Paws will be taking place from Saturday 2 until Saturday 23 December on selected days and is priced at £6.99 per dog. Attendees can save money by pre-booking photography. If families want to get everyone involved, the Santa’s Grotto experience can be booked for kids, priced at £11.99 per child, with the opportunity to select a toy for the child.

Sarah Murray, who leads Dobbies’ festive events plans, said: “We absolutely love making amazing experiences, and Santa Paws really shows how dedicated we are to that. It’s an occasion to celebrate the joy our pets bring into our lives, and a chance for dog owners and families to create cherished Christmas memories together at our Ayr store.

“We look forward to sharing the magic of Christmas as families come along to Santa Paws.”

Hi everyone! We are definitely now in rainy season and of course I will always do my best to wipe down and towel dry the dogs before bringing them home, however, if you do wish your dog to wear a jacket please let me know and leave this out 🐾🥾🍁

We’re pleased to announce that our Nae Fireworks Night event is returning this year on Sunday 5th of November!
If you’re looking for somewhere quiet to get away and walk your dog(s), in the company of other like-minded owners, then Whitelee Windfarm is the place for you. The Whitelee Countryside Rangers, Whitelee Visitor Centre and ScottishPower Renewables staff will be on site to run the event and do our very best to maintain a firework-free zone - although please understand this can never be fully guaranteed! We recommend that dogs are kept on leads during the event.
Whitelee Windfarm Visitor Centre will be open to dogs, and owners, for hot drinks and cake from 6-9pm - don't forget to bring your re-usable cup to receive a discount off your hot drink and help us reduce our waste.

As always – spread the word that fireworks are not permitted at Whitelee windfarm. They pose a danger to site infrastructure, can cause peatbog fires, and cause distress to the sites wildlife and livestock, as well as visitors…so please don’t bring them.
