Another defective rabbit 😂🐰💚

This mucky bum was my xmas eve present, she is a new arrival. A clean up and some probiotics combined with good food means she hasn't had a messy bum since she arrived on xmas eve.
Previous foster home she was at wanted her gone because she was unfriendly. The first couple of days she would lunge at me when I went near her but it didn't take long to calm her down. Now look at her less than 2 weeks later 🐰💚

I heard a bang upstairs, not uncommon in this haunted house. When I went up a while later I found the cause of the bang, some big eared menace had knocked over the litter trays that were draining ready for the citric acid clean so she could drop some smarties in there.

This cold snap has come early, but it's not too late to insulate outdoor rabbit homes. Cardboard on the floors and lots of fresh dry hay will keep the heat in. Straw is also good, but put it under newspaper as it can cause eye injuries. Try keeping the cold out with bubble wrap which can go on the top of rabbit homes, but keep it out of nibbling reach! A sheet of tarpaulin, or plastic, can be thrown over the entire rabbit area at night and weighted down with bricks. And there are great heat pads on the market which you can bury in litter trays. But the best warmer of all is to have a bonded pair of rabbits who'll snuggle together and keep cosy. It really makes ya think just how big Nelly is when you see this info about fox sizes, Nelly is 6.4kg on my vets scales. She isn't overweight, he said she is just right but she is a big bun and she definitely feels big when she jumps on my spuds while I'm sleeping 🤔

There are some new shelves in the run now for the less energetic buns. Lizzo was standing up looking at Fido sitting on the platform at the top of the black slide tube, she is still too tubby to jump up that high so I put one step at the end of the yellow tube for them to jump up on, they can then walk along that and get on the next platform to hopefully hop up on the top one. After doing that I'm now spending the day recovering in bed though, we need a bunny slave here to help out with basic stuff like this 🐰💚

Finally got Nelly to use the treat toy, I'm not sure how Jeff survived on the streets of London though because he can't work out how to get free food. He probably used his good looks to beg for veggie burgers outside takeaways
