Everyone meet Bo.
Bo was bought in by her owners after they noticed she had eaten a sock.
We performed an ultrasound scan on Bo where we noticed some shadowing in her stomach. This can be due to a number of reasons but we were suspicious a sock could be the culprit. Bo was made sick to bring up the sock.
To our surprise Bo had eaten not only one but two socks and what’s even more impressive they were a matching pair!

As you can see Bo was very pleased with herself.

Please could everyone keep their eyes peeled , especially in the Westfield area for this beautiful boy called Spartacus. His owners are desperately worried about him and if there are any sightings , please ring the surgery on 01761 412223 where we will pass all the information on. Spartacus has a microchip so we hope to get him home and re-united with his family as soon as possible.

This is Emily, one of our Veterinary Nurses performing a stitch up on a patient. Emily has undertaken a Schedule 3 surgical course where she can carry out procedures (under the direction of a vet) some of which involve
-Scaling and polishing teeth
-Monitoring General Anaesthesia
-Performance of surgery that does not enter a body cavity e.g. suturing a wound
-Initial management of traumatic wounds - Lavage and debridement
-Toe and tail amputations.

Bella has suffered with skin and ear problems for a little while. One of her ears was so inflamed it was no longer responding to medical management, so a salvage surgery called a Total Ear Canal Ablation and Bulla Osteotomy (TECA- BO) was performed. This surgery involves removing the external ear canal and part of the middle ear to take the infected tissue away and make Bella more comfortable.
Bella came in to see vet Lisa after her surgery and we are pleased to say she is recovering really well.

The email comes with a link taking you to a page showing your pet’s name, microchip number, your contact phone number and looks very convincing. PLEASE IGNORE.

There is a list of approved databases on gov.uk: Get your dog or cat microchipped - GOV.UK

Typically, you would only pay a fee or first registering your pet or if you contact the company to update your details .

It is important to keep your pet’s microchip contact details up-to-date including if you move address or change phone number/ email address. Please contact your microchip provider direct to update your details.

This is Max. He is 14yrs old today! (Made up bday as he’s a rescue!). He came to see Vet Lisa as he was struggling with some arthritis in his elbows. He was started on an anti-inflammatory pain relief and a diet. He came for a routine check up today and his owners are delighted with his progress. He is keen for his walks, more active and much more content. His owners have worked hard and he has lost 1.5kg in weight too. Well done Max!🤩👏
