🐒🐶🌿 When was the last time you saw a baby Monkey, chilling with a Jungle dog (Yes there are jungle dogs, google it). You cannot expect your dog and little humans to know exactly how to interact with one another.

🤔💬🫤Humans have a complex verbal, body language and physical touch communication system and let’s be honest sometimes we misunderstand our own kind. So how can we expect dogs to understand us and more importantly our children? Cue confused but adorable head tilt.

🚫✋🙈Simple answer we can’t, we as the leader and through examples of kindness and empathy must teach our children how to to act and how not to act around our dogs. There’s lots of ways we can do this.

📝📚🎓But wait, how can I teach my children to act around my dogs so they can be safe if I don’t understand my dogs body language or communication style.

🎅🫦🏥Christmas is the most likely time for dogs to bite. It’s absolute chaos for us and for them, there are strangers coming into their home, the smells are increased through our stress levels, the noises are louder and there are flashing lights everywhere!

🌲🐕🤯Not to mention there is one special tree allowed inside that they can’t p*e on! What the woof!

You don’t have to TEACH your dog anything! 😱

Nobody is forcing you, you don’t even have to walk your dog. 🚷🐕

If you don’t care that your dog jumps up or pulls on the lead or barks at people you won’t stop it from happening. You can let them beg for food, toilet inside or sleep in your bed. It’s your dog and you help shape its behaviour. 🤔🤨

However you are still responsible for your dogs wellbeing, safety and that of others around you that your dog might effect. An untrained dog can be an annoying and even dangerous thing. 🐾⚠️⛔️

You can’t be lazy and have a well behaved dog you have to choose to make a change for the better. The good news is it’s NEVER too late to start fostering a better relationship and lifestyle for you and your companion. 😎🦴

Are you willing to make some changes?

It won’t be easy and you may need to start with the basics all over again like when your dog was a puppy, remember how determined you were then to get it right? 🥺🧑‍🎓

Like I said it won’t be easy but it will be worth it.
If you don’t want to then that’s fine but please don’t blame your dog for behaving like a dog if you don’t put the effort in to show them what you want. 👎🙈

🐶❤️Heel Training 4 dogs - 4 skills levels ❤️🐶

Dog 1 - Luna 🌓 🤪
Luna is a collie x that 4 weeks ago wouldn’t come near me, she suffers with huge anxiety levels. You can still she still has the genetic coding that make her want to run around like crazy but she’s doing super well learning to control her instincts when given a proper way to Chanel her energy. 🐑✅🐾

Dog 2 - Rupert
Rupert is my personal dog a 10 month old French Mastiff he’s knows the drill and display good levels of communication. He’s slow to the mark because we I needed him to be a calm and collected dog. Thats what I needed for my lifestyle he’s got skills but can be distracted especially when the house is full of new dogs. 🇫🇷🥺🐕

Dog 3 & 4 - Boomer and Peg
These to beautiful examples of thier breed are not here for training, just daycare but you can see they are super happy to be getting some treets and to be under our care. 🥰🦴🐶
