Knees up yesterday .ec for these two 🤩

Over the moon with Molly to jump her first foxhunter… it’s been a long journey to keep her confidence intact, she can go so high but that hasn’t always been a good thing and to feel her skipping round yesterday using her jump but staying within herself was magic 🥰🤍. A massive thankyou to Ian Wills who has been a big part of her journey and has been so patient at cajoling both of us along 🙏. Wherever her journey ends up with me she has taught me so much, she’s so sensitive it keeps pushing me to ride better and improve so for that I will always be grateful (while remembering to sit up and use my core 🤪).

A day of two halves , winter properly arrived 🥶!

Good rounds for all though, plenty of double clears and a 🥈 for Balu in the metre open in the worst of the weather, this horse continues to be an enigma!

Particularly chuffed with the mare squad, Molly’s super 1.15 round and jumping a great fox double clear with Heidi 👸🏼 🚀

What a great weekend I had supporting .showjumping for the amateur championships 🙌

Such a great experience for Moothi and Tintin at their first show of this size and atmosphere 🌟
Two rounds jumped and a super clear today to finish with. Tintin grew in confidence in the busy bright indoor and Moothi rode a really professional and smart round, very proud of them both!

Tintin of course looking and feeling fantastic powered by , plenty of energy for a long few days plus travelling but always staying focused and rideable 🤩

💛 Something special

Carrie is our golden girl. She loves to work, is a joy to produce and a pleasure to look after 🌟

15.2 Rising 5yo dun mare, Connie x tb
Schooling well on the flat and has been to local unaffiliated prelim tests scoring high 60s, she is extremely balanced for her age and makes a lovely picture.
She loves her jumping and is not spooky or silly, snaffle mouthed and XC schooled well at home and away.

She is a grassroots dream and wise beyond her years. She has been used for lessons for 12yo riders and even did a day at pony club camp this summer. She will be someone’s best friend and suit a mother daughter share, a competitive amateur or just happy hack!

What a great week of shows I have had with these three 🤩

On Wednesday we headed to with and .showjumping for our first indoors show of the year. What a treat to have a lovely indoor venue locally again 🙌. It was a great reminder that jumping indoors really accentuates so much, looking ahead, riding good turns and keeping the right canter are more important than ever and you get found out fast if you don’t!
That said the girls did super jobs and finished 🥈 and 🥉 in the metre and jumped good newcomers rounds.

Next stop was today with who was back in the ring for the first time in a while and jumped a beautiful double clear with Heidi 🌟

So much to look forward to with these three and some step ups in the near future! But for now, next stop Aintree for our next adventures 💪

A quick trip out to this morning and I was lucky enough to give Chilli a jump round as her owner is away travelling.

🤩 This lovely girl is now looking for her new home and to be honest I can’t believe she hasn’t been snapped up. She is a great mover and jumper and with plenty of milage under her belt will make a fantastic schoolmaster for a competitive amateur or teenager. To top it off she is kind and very easy to look after! Message me if you would like more info.

💪 It might be November and the days are shorter but winter training is well underway here! Supporting clients and their horses with their goals is an important part of our livery offering and today was a fun one with lots of the good stuff achieved 🌟

💥 Heidi with her customary turbo boost had a lovely time SJ schooling and is looking super and ready to get back in the ring with

🧡 I was lucky enough to take the lovely Ed for a spin for as well which he loved and hopefully keeps him entertained and ready for her to enjoy for training at the weekend

🍑 we are so spoilt to have exceptional going on the XC at this time of year at home so took her sassy ginger for a play on the grass and they had a great time

So lucky to have such lovely clients and horses and really glad myself and the team can help keep the wheels rolling when people have so much to juggle.

We do currently have a rare vacancy for livery so if we can help you or your horse achieve your goals please do reach out and see if we can help 💙

Our two golden ones are ready and looking for their new homes. Both are an absolute pleasure to have at home and take to shows, they love to learn, are wise beyond their years and will excel in any grassroots job. Ideal for mother/daughter shares or competitive amateurs or teenagers 💛💛

Bailey
15.2 palomino 2019 gelding, Connie x ISH
Been to training shows, unaffiliated dressage and one day event. Excellent mover with really uphill paces, will be super competitive in this phase. Loves to jump, bold and straightforward, incredibly clever and easy XC.

Carrie
15.2 dun 2020 mare, Connie x ISH
Exceptional brain and you would never guess her age! Lovely mover and jumper, has been to training shows and XC schooling well. Very uncomplicated and balanced to ride in everything she does. Will do any job, beautiful to look at, would probably also excel showing? Has been used to teach kids on this summer, happily joining in with pony club and group lessons with 12 yo jockeys that got straight on her!

Both are available just under mid teens 💵
Can be seen at Littleton Manor Equestrian, Reigate Surrey with excellent trial facilities

💥 19TH OCTOBER
Entries close Midday today
Times available on eventing scores at 6pm today

Two phase training event or clear round SJ
An opportunity to train in a competition environment around fully flagged and dressed courses that were built for the BE event this weekend that sadly had to be abandoned.

You will be given a SJ time and then can head to XC soon after. You can SJ in XC gear and rounds will not be scored or recorded. A brilliant chance to get a last run in this season on excellent ground with little pressure. XC fences can mix and match a level up or down and as long as you are deemed safe you may continue after leaving a fence out or having a problem.
We are also running clear round SJ at the same heights, entries can be made at the link below.

Gutted to not be able to run but really trying to make a great day on Saturday for those that still want to give their horses a run. Will also be running clear round SJ on its own. Please share and spread the word.

💥 We are really sad to have to succumbed to the weather this week. An unbelievable amount of rain at the start of the week and more forecast has meant we are unfortunately unable to run the British Eventing event this weekend to the calibre of what we would want to provide. See below statement from British Eventing 👇

HOWEVER!
Despite the dressage field being the reason to stop play we do have a beautiful looking XC course that is ready to go, on going that is still good and a SJ course on a surface. We will be offering a two phase training show this Saturday 19th October. Courses will be as built for the original event and the day run with our brilliant team of volunteers, medics and control, providing a good competition atmosphere with less pressure, ideal for an end of season run or for schooling young horses.

🐎 Those who were already entered for the BE event are offered a reduced entry fee and new entries can also be taken.

🌟 Entries are open now until Friday lunchtime, times will be available by 6pm Friday.

British Eventing Official
** EVENT UPDATE** - Littleton Manor - Saturday 19th & Sunday 20th October

Due to the recent adverse weather all BE competition at Littleton Manor has been abandoned, this is primarily due to the dressage area being waterlogged and unfortunately there is no alternative location to re-site the dressage phase to.

The Organisers and Officials have been working hard to try and keep this event going however the weather has yet again been against us.

Matt and Kate Tarrant, the Organisers, are currently looking at the potential of running a training day on Saturday 19th October and if it is possible further details will be available via the Littleton Manor website and social media page.

Rosie Williams said “I’ve been out to the event site today and despite Matt and Kate's work the dressage area is not able to be used however the cross-country course and the show jumping area have held up well. Matt and Kate would like to offer the opportunity for people to attend a training event on Saturday to use the cross country and show jumping tracks which we hope at least offers those that have lost a run an opportunity to get their horses out this weekend.

And that’s a wrap on the 2024 season today 🤩. Highs, lows, lots of wiggles in the road but still loving this crazy sport and what it gives us.

Finishing up with Molly Malone and Guinness… Molly was her usual mercurial self, a lovely test and jumped a solid double clear but took aversion to the fence judges at 2 and 3 leading to some time penalties and slightly frustrated jockey 🤯. She really is so talented and has come such a long way but it is never straightforward with her!
On the other hand I was thrilled with Guinness, it’s taken a few runs but today it felt like we clicked XC and the relationship is starting to build. He’s another tricky sensitive character but today has given me lots to go forwards with over the winter and it’s exciting having a horse with so much ability, now I just need to channel it!

Basil and I had a great time XC at Osberton yesterday 🤩
Kicking myself for a rider error which meant a 20 penalties half way round the track but he was super and gave me a great feel. It was a tricky course with lots of questions and one of those days where it caused a lot of problems, we were two hours late out of the start box so I was delighted he jumped round so well!
A little leg weary today showjumping on the final day for the first time but a great experience for him and lots to build on for next year 💪
Great job to who had a super week with the gorgeous Belle who I bred so it is always extra special! And a massive thanks to all the girls at home for holding the fort for a few days.

💥We are looking for one new person to join our team due to the yard growing. It could be in either of the following positions, both are as part of our friendly and busy competition yard based at Littleton Manor Equestrian in Reigate Surrey.

⚡️ COMPETITOON GROOM OR WORKING PUPIL
The right person will have positive can do attitudes and be happy working as part of a team and also individually at times.
A love of the horses, the sport, their welfare and care is an absolute must.
Beautiful facilities and a great team of staff and clients mean current and recent employees have been with us for years and years 🥰

🌟 COMPETITION GROOM
Might suit someone with experience or someone ready to step up and take one more. Lots of outings, variety and lovely horses to look after!
Looking for someone to work with closely day to day with the competition horses.
This role would include all day to day yard duties, hands on care of competition horses, plus plenty of travel to competitions and training. We have horses eventing and jumping regularly at national and international competitions, up to 4* and 1.30 with aspirations for more.
I need someone who is comfortable plaiting, clipping, lunging, travelling horses, general vet care, rehab etc to a high standard. Riding is an option but not essential.
🚛 Ideally I would like someone who is happy driving a 3.5t lorry and enjoys taking horses to shows for clients, vets visits, treadmill etc. If you are comfortable around small children 😈 and are happy to be hands on with this occasionally that is a massive bonus.

🌟 WORKING PUPIL / APPRENTICESHIP
This position would include all day to day yard duties, travel to some shows and riding depending on ability. A real opportunity to gain an education in the workings of a competition, sales and livery yard. Own horse and training and competition support welcomed. Either position could be live in or live out. Own horse a possibility. Competitive package including paid holiday, pension, NI etc.
📆 Start date flexible but available from now. The sooner the better but right person is paramount.
