Gollum and Nibbler, two of our amputees with Madonna today!
We had a visit from one of our resident colony members, Steve (yes another seagull named Steve!) earlier today. He was quite happy to pose and you will see his ballerina talents too if you watch to the end. He is a stunner and nicely rounded!!
Yesterday we received a message from a lady whose cat had brought in this baby moorhen.
We only take in gulls and are currently at capacity but being so young, this was rather urgent so Chloe collected little Ziggy.
We contacted Kim at Idlewild Animal Sanctuary to ask for their assistance and she has agreed to rear him. If you aren't familiar with their work, take a look at their website, details are below:

Madonna having a mackerel moment! She has a broken wing and toe so doesn't move a great deal but already she is learning to adjust her balancing skills! She's a sweet bird and thanks to our vet team she is now recovering although she has a long way to go. ❤️
Captain Janeway and Chekote would like to wish all of you a Happy Easter Sunday! They are chowing down on a sardine breakfast this morning!
We give all of our gull guests at least one fish dish a day (we feed them 3x daily). If you would like to add an item of food to your trolly when you shop we buy sardines in brine, mackerel in brine, frozen white fish, frozen mackerel, frozen cod, etc.- these seem to be the favourites!! They also eat fishy kitten food pouches too!
Thank you for supporting us!!!
The high winds mean that you may find babies from nests on the ground. Please keep an eye out for them or any grounded adults that might be struggling. As will be the case this year finders of birds will need to pick them up and get them safe before contacting us.
Helping hand corvid rescue North wales will also be on hand for any corvid/pigeon related rescues
