A fab weekend for Bramble,

First of to local NoStress dressage Saturday for some personal best scores and placing 1st/3rd in the intro/prelim sections.

Secondly we attended the NFPEC Show at New Park, a very wet day ended in good spirits with the brilliant 4yo stallion Bramble. Can’t thank Sally Anne Pierson enough for taking him in to his first NPS ridden classes schooling him round for experience, but to come out with the results we did, as a team we’re over the moon with this novice boy.
Lots to come from this little stallion in the future!

PUREWELL STUD IS BACK FOR 2022!

Due to a Personal illness, we stopped breeding and owning New Forest ponies a number of years ago, however after owning my Stallion for the past year and a half and having a brilliant show season in 2021, we also decided to go back to breeding. We have 2 beautiful mares who have now been tested in foal, so a big thanks to Alan at Celtic Equine Vets for all the help.

Brambles first crop will be due April/May and will tentatively be available late 2022.

We at Purewell Stud encourage healthy breeding of this beautiful breed and both mares have passed the PSSM1 testing, so offspring will be cleared by parentage.

Our Mares - 12yo Chestnut by Oak Dene Red Alert and secondly 5yo Grey by Farriers Fingerprint.

We look forward to welcoming the first HOME BRED Purewell foals in the coming months.

Brambles Stud duties will continue this year, so please any enquiries, pop a message along to this page.

We welcome any Purewell Pony owners to like and share any updates of their ponies to this page, we would be delighted to see how they are getting on!!

SUNSHINE TOUR ☀️

Brilliant weekend away with Bramble, absolute saint in the stables blocks for his first time with all the ramblings going on😆 7:30 classes meant 6:00 starts, he definitely wasn’t too impressed! Haha!

!!!UPDATE!!!

Brambles winning streak has continued over the past 8 weeks, he’s been an incredible stallion to handle and well complimented on his behaviour in the show ring!

First of today, we headed to the beautiful New Park Showground for the New Forest Riding club show!
Only one class for bramble this time as we brought along his field companion for a stretch aswell!
1ST PLACE 2/3year New Forest Youngstock in a big class
Taking the overall M&M Reserve Champion in great company! Without a doubt my favourite win to date so far!! I couldn’t be anymore proud of Bramble, a true New Forest boy!

Going back we entered into the New Forest Enthusiasts show and came away with a 4th in the NF 2/3 year olds colts followed by a fabulous 1st place in the hunter pony class, also taking home the inhand ring championship!

Next we were back to Oakridge, winning the hunter pony, then taking 2nd in the m&m large breeds and also the youngstock class!

A quick trip up to our friends at the Royal Artillery Show! Had a fab day with bramble and the judges endless comments were brilliant!

2nd in the youngstock(any breed)
Qualifying 3 times for the grand finale event, taking 2nd place overall inhand ponies!
Putting him in to the top 8 horses of the entire show!!

Few more shows left of the season, before we head of on our first stay away show to the famous ground, The All England Jumping Course(Hickstead) competing in the Sunshine Tour Championships!

Absolutely over the moon with Bramble today, going Inhand Champion at Oakridge Show against many lovely ponies. Another win for m&m large breeds, followed by a 2nd in best condition and a 5th in youngstock! Wonderful comments from all the judges!

Last week bramble attended the New Forest Hounds show and came away with a first place in a huge class, behaviour was impeccable and I couldn’t be more proud to have such a honest and incredible stallion!!

Few weeks off from showing now, so Bramble is back to covering duties!!

UPDATE: An exciting few weeks for Bramble.

Firstly a trip to a local show for the first outing of the year, gaining 1st place M&M large breeds and 2nd in Youngstock in strong big classes. Qualifying for the Sunshine Tour Champs in September!!🎉

Secondly he covered his first mare in-hand this year, an absolute gentleman with my own broodmare, who is a stubborn chestnut by Oak Den Red Alert! Fingers crossed for a lovely offspring next year!

Thirdly we attended the Royal Artillery Show, amazing behaviour displayed by this novice Stallion, many compliments from the judges and doing me super proud and placing in his first NPS classes. 2nd in New forests/Connemara and 4th place youngstock!

A brilliant two shows with Bramble, onwards to the following shows in coming weeks

A day in the sunshine for Bramble today.

The lovely Gemma Freeman attended for a physio and massage assessment/session for him, ensuring he is ready for covering duties and the show season ahead. He definitely enjoyed himself and is already longing for Gemma’s return.

Bramble will be on his first outing of 2021 this Sunday to Oakridge Stables, for a few inhand classes 🐴 updates to follow
