Let's all welcome handsome boy Ralph the Soft Coated Wheaton Terrier to the studio 🥰 he is a lovely boy who struggles with grooming, today we managed to get through his full groom with plenty of breaks and positive encouragement ❤️ he even gave me lots of kisses throughout 🥰

FLEAS NOTICE 🪳

It is that time of year as the weather warms up where fleas are making their appearance again and there have been more cases than usual popping up where dogs are coming into the studio with fleas.

If you suspect your dog has fleas please let me know in advance as I may need to move your appointment time if I have other dogs booked in afterwards. My studio is regularly treated and I have special shampoo to kill any fleas on your dog, there is low risk of passing fleas on to other dogs that day but I would rather close the studio to flea bomb to get rid of that risk completely. This means cancelling the rest of my appointments that day which inconveniences other clients 😔

If your dog is found to have fleas, you may be asked to collect your dog and reschedule your appointment or if I am able to accommodate a flea bath that day you will be called to ask for consent as it does incur an additional charge.

I spent yesterday morning over at Tabs & Tails Dog Grooming where I got the opportunity to work on these gorgeous boys 🥰 they are an unusual breed that you don't see that often so it was great to use my hand stripping knowledge to help out ❤️ thank you so much for having me! Beautiful Oscar was back for his pamper not once but twice! I had an unfortunate ordeal with my dryer breaking so he had to pop back the week after to get his haircut finished off 😅 We are still working on getting him used to tools around his face but he gets better every time he comes 🥰

Beautiful Tilly was back for her summer pamper 🥰 she has always been a little bit nervous and will bite out of fear especially when being picked up but I think we've cracked it! She will happily jump up on the table and has no problem being picked up from there so we made it through her groom with no issues at all this time ❤️ I will always take the time to try to figure out triggers and adjust my way of working to ensure the dog is as comfortable as possible throughout their groom ❤️

Let's all welcome lovely Lady, a 15 year old cocker spaniel to the studio 🥰 Lady has had a few strokes (which left her with the head tilt) and is prone to fits, her owners wanted to keep her as stress free as possible to reduce the risk of her having more so grooming was put on the back burner. Unfortunately she had gotten into a bit of a mess and was fully matted so we had to go super short all over for a fresh start ❤️
3 hours on the floor with this lovely girl and she is free from her matting and feeling much better 🥰 we took plenty of breaks and managed to make it through with no fits at all which is the best case scenario! As her groom took longer than expected she did have to come back a few days later to finish off with a bath, blowdry and a spritz of pawfume 😋 well done beautiful Lady ❤️

Fluffy boy Teddy popped in to see me this afternoon for a good deshed and Sophie tagged along for a nail clip and a feet tidy 🥰 they were both good as gold, Sophie is learning to trust me as she is a nervous girlie and I managed to make a whole new Teddy out of the hair I got off him ❤️

Feisty George was back this morning for his summer pamper 🥰 he does really well for the bath and blowdryer and also stands lovely for his back end ❤️ today he wasn't feeling the groom at all and wouldn't allow me to do his face or his front feet without trying to snap but his mum and human sister came to the rescue and distracted him enough to get him mostly finished. We really tried to clear the hair from between his eyes but he struggles with this the most and we were unable to clear it completely this time.
George is such a loving boy, he wants to give kisses and cuddles but gets defensive when attempting to groom certain areas. We always do the best we can without making him stressed, he may not look perfect but he definitely feels better in his shorter cut ❤️ well done handsome boy

Lovely trio Cleo, Cora and Fifi were back this weekend for their spring pampers 🥰 their dad wanted them all super short all ready for the warmer weather ❤️ they were all really good and I was bombarded with kisses and cuddles the whole way through 🥰
